Read this before you order

This is a full front caliper conversion, not a drop-in rotor for the factory Tesla calipers. It's built around 20-inch wheels as the minimum, but spoke and barrel shape differ wheel to wheel, so a 20-inch diameter alone doesn't guarantee clearance. Want to keep your factory calipers? Ask about an OE-replacement carbon ceramic rotor path instead of this kit.

Why it works on a heavy EV

STOPFLEX feature Why it matters on a Model X What you notice
405mm rotor + Brembo GTS 6-piston front A big, fast SUV asks a lot of the front axle when regen tapers off near a full battery or in the cold. A firmer pedal and more headroom on long downhill or repeated hard stops.
Carbon ceramic rotor, no rust EVs lean on regen, so iron rotors sit lightly used and surface-rust between drives. No rusty, grindy first stop after the car sits out in the rain.
About half the weight of steel Rotor mass is unsprung and rotating, the worst place to carry weight on a heavy vehicle. Roughly 12 kg off the front axle and a slightly sharper front end.
Low-dust ceramic pads A premium daily driver shouldn't wear black, dusty wheels all week. Cleaner wheel faces and less time at the wash bay.

What gets better

  • More front-end heat capacity for the moments regen can't cover
  • Firmer, more consistent pedal under repeated hard braking
  • No surface rust on rotors that sit between regen-heavy drives
  • About 12 kg less unsprung, rotating mass up front
  • Lower brake dust and cleaner wheels day to day

What to confirm first

  • Your wheels are 20 inches or larger
  • Your exact wheel's spoke and barrel shape clears the GTS caliper
  • You want a full front conversion, not a factory-caliper rotor swap
  • Front-axle scope fits your goals for this build

Model X CCB questions

Will a 405mm rotor fit inside 20-inch wheels on a Tesla Model X?

This front kit is built around 20-inch wheel clearance, and the 405mm rotor and Brembo GTS caliper package is specified to fit inside 20-inch wheels. Wheel barrel and spoke design still vary, so confirm clearance against your exact wheels before you order.

Does a carbon ceramic brake upgrade change Tesla one-pedal driving?

No. Regen still handles most of your everyday slowing. The friction brakes only take over when you push the pedal harder or when regen is limited by a full battery or cold temperatures, and carbon ceramic rotors keep those moments more consistent because they do not rust like iron discs.

Why pair Brembo GTS calipers with STOPFLEX carbon ceramic rotors on a Model X?

The combo upgrades the front axle with a 6-piston fixed caliper and a 405mm carbon ceramic rotor. That gives a heavy Model X more heat capacity, a firmer pedal, and lower unsprung mass than a comparable iron setup.

Does this front kit add range or just stopping power?

It does more for feel than for range. Cutting rotor weight lowers rotational and unsprung mass, which can sharpen front-end response and may give a small efficiency benefit, but treat it as a brake upgrade, not a range upgrade.

How long do STOPFLEX carbon ceramic rotors last on a street-driven EV?

A long time on the street. STOPFLEX rates street-driven carbon ceramic rotors at roughly 250,000 to 300,000 km when they are never tracked, and an EV's regen takes load off the friction brakes, which can stretch that even further.
