StopFlex Carbon‑Ceramic Discs
Aviation‑Origin Performance for Every Drive
Crafted from aerospace grade carbon fiber reinforced ceramic composites with silicon carbide friction surfaces, StopFlex discs deliver nearly twice the grip of steel and remain fade free beyond 900 °C.
Weighing just 55% of cast iron discs, they dramatically sharpen handling, while offering 250,000–300,000 km of near silent, corrosion resistant braking confidence.
Track proven technology — now built for everyday roads.
Precision-machined from aerospace-grade aluminum, the hat reduces unsprung and rotational mass where it matters most. The result is sharper steering input, quicker response, and more consistent rotor alignment under repeated high-load braking.
SAE 304 stainless steel hardware provides strong corrosion resistance for long-term road and track use. The floating design allows the disc ring to expand and contract naturally as temperatures rise, helping reduce thermal stress, rotor distortion, and hat-to-ring binding.
The StopFlex silicon-carbide friction surface is engineered for high-temperature stability, strong initial bite, and long wear life. It helps maintain consistent braking performance under aggressive use while reducing corrosion, brake dust, and surface degradation compared with conventional iron rotors.
The disc hat area is left uncoated by design. This prevents coating stress at the hat-to-ring interface, where mechanical load and thermal movement are highest. The result is a cleaner structural boundary and a more durable friction surface.
Precision vent fins move air through the rotor core to accelerate heat evacuation. Faster cooldown helps stabilize disc temperature, reduce fade, and maintain consistent pedal response during repeated braking cycles.
StopFlex pads are formulated specifically for carbon-ceramic discs. The low-metallic compound delivers stable 0.44 μ friction, controlled heat transfer, low dust, low noise, and predictable pedal feel across fast road and track use.
Why Settle for Steel?
Experience StopFlex Carbon Ceramic Braking
Unmatched Grip
Zero Fade at 900 °C
With a friction coefficient of 0.44–0.52—nearly twice that of steel—StopFlex discs deliver consistent, fade-free braking up to 750–800 °C, whether you're attacking mountain passes or flat-out on the highway.
Lifetime Durability
300,000 km of Wear Resistance
While steel discs wear out after 50,000–100,000 km, carbon–ceramic ones last between 250,000–300,000 km under normal driving, durable enough for the life of the car.
45% Lighter
Sharper Handling
Weighing only 55% of an equivalent cast-iron disc, StopFlex cutting 45% of unsprung and rotational mass improves steering response, ride quality, and fuel efficiency.
Smoother Ride
Rust-Free Performance
Unlike steel discs that corrode and generate high brake dust, carbon–ceramics produce vastly less dust, resist salt corrosion, and operate more quietly—delivering cleaner wheels and quiet city driving.
