A 400mm Front Rotor on the GT-R R35
A 400mm front rotor is the key detail in this Nissan GT-R R35 case. The photographs show the STOPFLEX disc on the car, an orange Nissan-branded caliper, rotor-edge comparisons and the complete black GT-R in the workshop and on a circuit.
- Front: STOPFLEX 400mm long-fiber carbon ceramic rotors.
For a GT-R owner considering circuit use, the rotor grade and its supporting system matter more than the carbon ceramic label alone. STOPFLEX describes continuous long-fiber construction as its higher-strength, higher-thermal-duty option. Its range separates Long-Fiber Street, Track-Day and Motorsport specifications rather than treating every long-fiber disc as interchangeable.
That distinction is useful here: the build record calls these racing rotors, but does not identify the current catalogue subtype. Choose against the intended duty and confirm the face, coating and cooling arrangement. The product guidance reserves Motorsport for competition-focused use with a corresponding pad, fluid, cooling and warm-up strategy.
A ceramic rotor also does not remove heat from the rest of the system. STOPFLEX advises cooling and suitable high-temperature fluid for sustained hard use because pads, fluid, seals and calipers still absorb heat. Those supporting parts deserve attention before choosing a rotor solely for its temperature capability.
400mm Needs Its Own Fitment Check
The GT-R R35 rotor listing gives 380mm, 390mm and 410mm front references. This case's 400mm configuration therefore needs a specific review of the caliper, pad shape, rotor dimensions and hat offset. Do not carry a catalogue wheel-clearance figure across to this conversion.
