The material specification is the reason to look beyond the drilled appearance. STOPFLEX describes continuous long-fiber construction as carrying load across the rotor for higher strength and thermal durability. With AP Racing calipers already part of this front assembly, a matching long-fiber rotor offers a route for an owner seeking more thermal-duty margin in the friction disc without selecting another caliper package.
That choice still has a use-case limit. Long-Fiber Street, Track-Day and Motorsport versions serve different conditions, with different surface and cooling specifications. A road-driven M240i does not automatically benefit from the competition-focused version. Specify the grade and ceramic-compatible pad compound together; repeated high-heat driving also calls for suitable brake fluid and cooling.

The G42 M240i rotor page requires custom review for AP Racing applications; its factory-sized references do not establish this 380mm fitment. Confirm this car's generation and the exact AP Racing model before matching the pads, hats and wheel clearance.
