The rule is simple: front factory calipers must be 4-piston or more; the rear has no limit. A 1- or 2-piston floating front setup cannot take direct-replacement discs — that car needs the Full Upgrade kit with calipers. We build to the factory rotor specs above. Aftermarket calipers (Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, Wilwood) work too — send the caliper model, pad shape, and rotor size for confirmation first.

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

Cold facts first: an untuned ceramic disc bites less than iron on a freezing morning — physics, not a defect. StopFlex tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so winter cold-car braking now feels very close to summer. Leave extra margin on the very coldest first stops; severe-climate daily drivers should build Street Spec.

Heat Management Note

High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

FAQ

Does this fit both my SU7 Ultra and a friend's SU7 Max?

Yes, but the rotors are trim-specific. The Ultra uses 430mm front and 410mm rear carbon-ceramic discs from the factory, so its replacement discs match those diameters. The SU7 Max runs 414mm front and 380mm rear, so it gets its own sizing. You must select the exact trim and confirm your front caliper is 4-piston or more before ordering — this is a direct replacement that reuses your factory calipers, so caliper piston count and rotor diameter have to line up.

How does cold-weather braking feel on a carbon-ceramic disc in winter?

A cold carbon-ceramic disc naturally bites a little less than cold iron on the first few stops — that's physics, not a fault. We tuned for it: the low-metallic resin-composite pad compound (steel, copper, and aramid fiber, average friction around 0.44) is matched to a ceramic disc coating optimized for cold starts. In practice, cold-car braking feel on a winter morning now comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest first stops, leave a little extra following distance until the front and rear discs come up a few degrees.

Do I keep my factory calipers, or do I need new ones?

You keep your factory calipers. The kit is discs, pads, hats, and floating hardware engineered to bolt to the SU7 Ultra or Max caliper you already have. This is only valid when the front factory caliper is 4-piston or more; the rear is unrestricted. Because you retain the OE calipers, there's no brake-line rerouting and the factory EPB motor on the rear stays in place.

Will these clear my wheels, and can I still track the car?

The 430mm Ultra front disc and 414mm Max front disc are large, so confirm your wheel's inner barrel clearance before ordering — send us your wheel spec and we'll check it. On track, the pad resists fade to roughly 750 °C, which suits the Ultra's higher-speed, repeated-stop use where the Max's factory iron setup runs out of thermal headroom. Match the disc tier to how you actually drive.
