Front-only kit option | 19" |
Every StopFlex kit is bespoke-engineered for your exact model and trim — brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are matched to your specific car, never assumed from the platform. Trims that share a chassis name can differ mechanically: a pure performance variant often carries different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than the standard models, so parts that bolt onto one are not the parts that fit the other. Calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines ship as one matched system built to your confirmed trim. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering.
The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
Long Street-Service Life
In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.
Low Visible Dust
Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.
Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish
StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.
Continuous Fiber Construction
StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.
Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering
Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.
Winter & Cold-Weather Braking
A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc needs more pedal than iron on the first winter stops — normal material physics. StopFlex engineered the pad formula and disc coating specifically for cold starts, closing that gap: cold-car winter feel is now very close to summer feel. Keep a little extra distance on the coldest mornings; for harsh winters, choose Street Spec.
Caliper Overview
Front Caliper
The front caliper is the Brembo V6 / GT6 / GTS6 6-Piston Caliper. You choose among three options: V6 (Brembo OEM Cadillac CTS-V 6-piston), GT6 (Brembo GT | M6 6-piston), and GTS6 (Brembo GT | S6 6-piston), each paired with a 380 mm rotor. All three give firm, repeatable clamping on a heavy XC90 that fights pedal fade under long descents and towing.
Rear Caliper
This kit is a front upgrade, so no rear caliper is included. If you want matched rear rotors and calipers with your factory electronic parking brake retained, we can spec that for your confirmed trim on request.
Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

Street Spec
Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.
Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

Track-Day Spec
Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.
Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

Motorsport Spec
Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.
Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.
Heat Management Note
High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

FAQ
Will this kit fit my exact XC90 trim, including a T8 or Polestar Engineered?
Every kit is built to your confirmed trim, not to the XC90 platform in general. We match the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your specific car because front knuckle and hub geometry can differ between standard T5/T6, T8 plug-in hybrid, and Polestar Engineered variants. We confirm your VIN and trim before anything is machined, so this is bespoke fitment rather than a universal bolt-on claim.
What wheels do I need to clear the 380 mm front rotors?
The 380 mm front rotor requires a minimum 19-inch wheel, and anything smaller will not clear the caliper. Spoke design and inner barrel clearance also matter, so send us your wheel details and we will verify the six-piston Brembo caliper clears before you order.
How do carbon ceramic brakes behave in winter and cold starts?
A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc bites less than cold iron on the first stops. That is normal physics, not a defect. We tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so cold-car feel on the XC90 now comes very close to warm summer feel. On the coldest first stops of the day, leaving a little extra following distance is still smart.
Will this change how the regen and pedal feel on my T8 hybrid?
The front 6-piston Brembo caliper and 380 mm rotor increase clamping capacity and heat headroom without altering the hydraulic pressure your car's system expects, so brake-by-wire regen blending on the T8 stays intact. The low-metallic pad runs an average friction coefficient around 0.44 with strong anti-fade behavior up to about 750 °C, giving consistent pedal feel that regen braking blends into cleanly.
