Trims that share a chassis name can differ mechanically: a pure performance variant often carries different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than the standard models, so parts that bolt onto one are not the parts that fit the other. Calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines ship as one matched system built to your confirmed trim. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering.
The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking
Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Front Caliper
The front caliper is the AP Racing CP9560 Radi-CAL II 6-piston monobloc. Its stiff, asymmetric body keeps piston deflection low under sustained load, so the pedal stays firm and consistent when the factory S90 setup would start to fade.
Rear Caliper
This kit is a front-only upgrade. If you want a matched rear caliper with electronic parking brake retention for your S90, we can spec one for your confirmed trim on request.

Heat Management Note
Ceramic discs shrug off surface temperatures that would destroy iron, but the rest of the system still heats up: pads, fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels all absorb soak heat during repeated hard stops. For track days, long descents, and sustained hard driving, run brake cooling and high-temperature fluid.

Will this kit fit my exact S90 trim?
We build each kit to your confirmed S90 trim, not to the S90 platform in general. The brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are cut for your car's front knuckle geometry and hub dimensions. Trims within the S90 family can differ mechanically, so we verify your VIN and wheel details before we machine anything rather than assuming a one-size fit.
What wheels do I need to clear the 380mm rotors?
The 380mm front rotor and AP Racing CP9560 caliper require a minimum 19-inch wheel. Anything under 19 inches will not clear the rotor, and spoke shape matters too, so send us your wheel size and offset and we'll confirm clearance before the build.
How do these brakes behave in cold weather and winter?
A cold carbon-ceramic disc naturally bites less than cold iron on the first stops of the day; that's physics, not a fault. We tune both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so cold-car feel on the S90 now comes very close to warm summer feel. Leave a little extra following distance on the very first cold stops and it settles quickly.
Will this stop the warping and fade the factory S90 brakes suffer?
Yes. The main reason owners come to us is soft factory rotors that warp early and fade under repeated hard braking. Carbon-ceramic discs run far higher thermal limits and resist the vibration and pedal fade that show up on the stock setup, and they don't need replacing on the short intervals owners report with OE parts.
