This kit is built per car, not per platform. We engineer the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your confirmed model and trim, because trims sharing a chassis name frequently differ underneath — performance variants can run different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than their standard siblings. You receive calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines as one matched, trim-specific system. Cars with modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points need review before ordering.
The 390 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 20" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.
Long Street-Service Life
In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking
Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Front Caliper
The front caliper is the Brembo OEM Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang 6-piston unit, clamping a 390mm carbon-ceramic rotor. Six pistons spread pad pressure evenly for a firm, repeatable pedal that holds up during long descents and repeated hard stops in a heavy CR-platform SUV.
Rear Caliper
This option is a front-only upgrade. A matching rear caliper package with EPB retention can be engineered on request for your confirmed Touareg trim.

Heat Management Note
High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

Will this fit my exact Touareg (CR) trim?
Every kit is built for your confirmed model year and trim, not the CR platform in general. The Touareg shares MLB Evo architecture with the Q7, Q8, and Cayenne, but those cars run different brake hardware and knuckle geometry, so we set the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your specific car after you confirm the VIN and trim. We do not make a universal bolt-on claim.
What wheels do I need to clear the 390mm rotors?
The front rotor is 390mm, so you need at least 20-inch wheels. Anything under 20 inches will not clear the caliper and disc, and spoke shape matters too—some 20-inch wheels with deep inner spokes still foul the caliper body. Send us your wheel model and we'll check clearance before you buy.
How do these behave in winter and cold starts?
A cold carbon-ceramic disc naturally bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops—that's physics, not a fault. We tune both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold operation, so first-stop feel on a cold Touareg now comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest mornings, leave a bit of extra following distance for the first few stops.
Does this work with the Touareg's electronic parking brake?
The CR Touareg uses a factory electronic parking brake, which operates on the rear axle. This is a front-only kit, so your EPB is untouched and keeps working normally. If you want a matched rear big-brake package that retains EPB function, we can engineer one for your trim.
