A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

Cold facts first: an untuned ceramic disc bites less than iron on a freezing morning — physics, not a defect. StopFlex tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so winter cold-car braking now feels very close to summer. Leave extra margin on the very coldest first stops; severe-climate daily drivers should build Street Spec.

Front Caliper

The front uses the Brembo GT BM6, a 6-piston monobloc caliper clamping the 405mm carbon-ceramic rotor. Even piston load across a large pad footprint keeps pedal travel consistent as the disc heats.

Rear Caliper

The rear pairs a Brembo GT BM4 4-piston caliper with a 380mm carbon-ceramic rotor for balanced thermal capacity front to back. It is engineered to work with the Crown Crossover's electronic parking brake, so factory EPB function is retained.

Heat Management Note

Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat still soaks into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.

Does this keep my electronic parking brake working?

Yes. The Crown Crossover uses a factory electronic parking brake, and the rear Brembo GT BM4 setup is engineered to retain that EPB function. The motor-on-caliper actuation and warning lights behave as they did stock.

What wheels do I need to clear this kit?

The 405mm front rotor and BM6 caliper require a minimum 21-inch wheel; anything under 21 inches will not clear the caliper. Spoke shape and inner barrel clearance also matter, so if you run aftermarket wheels, send us the specs when you confirm fitment.
