Will This Fit My Car?

Full Upgrade CCB Big Brake Kits (With Calipers) for the 2017-2023 Tesla Model 3 (pre-Highland). This page's exact brake setup:

Every StopFlex kit is bespoke-engineered for your exact model and trim — brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are matched to your specific car, never assumed from the platform. Trims that share a chassis name can differ mechanically: a pure performance variant often carries different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than the standard models, so parts that bolt onto one are not the parts that fit the other. Calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines ship as one matched system built to your confirmed trim. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering.

The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

Low Visible Dust

Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Continuous Fiber Construction

StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Caliper Overview

Front Caliper

The front caliper is the TTSPORT 8657 6-Piston Forged Caliper, clamping a 380mm carbon-ceramic rotor. Six pistons spread clamp load evenly across a longer pad, which keeps pedal pressure consistent through repeated hard stops on track days or canyon runs where the Model 3's stock front pads normally overheat.

Rear Caliper

The rear is the TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper, built for platforms like the Model 3 that require an electronic parking brake. It uses 4 hydraulic service pistons (28 mm) plus a dedicated 27 mm EPB actuator piston, so the factory electronic parking brake keeps working while you gain real rear-axle thermal capacity. The forged-aluminum two-piece body weighs about 4.50 kg per caliper without pads; the EP4 and larger EP4S share the same engineering, so the choice comes down to your rear-rotor size and wheel clearance.

Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

StopFlex Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.

Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

StopFlex Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

StopFlex Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Motorsport Spec

Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

Heat Management Note

Ceramic discs shrug off surface temperatures that would destroy iron, but the rest of the system still heats up: pads, fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels all absorb soak heat during repeated hard stops. For track days, long descents, and sustained hard driving, run brake cooling and high-temperature fluid.

FAQ

How does this kit behave in winter and cold weather?

A cold carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops of the day. That's basic physics, not a fault. StopFlex tunes both the low-metallic pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so cold-car feel on this Model 3 now comes very close to summer feel. Even so, leave a bit of extra following distance on your first one or two stops on the coldest mornings until the system is warm.

Will this fit my exact Model 3 trim?

Every kit is engineered for your confirmed trim. The Model 3 Performance can differ from Standard Range and Long Range in front knuckle geometry, hub offset, and wheel clearance, so we match brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your specific car. We do not sell this as a platform-wide bolt-on; we confirm your VIN and trim first.

What wheel size do I need to clear the 380mm rotors?

The 380mm front rotor requires a minimum 19-inch wheel. Wheels under 19 inches will not clear the caliper and rotor, and spoke design matters too, so a tight 19-inch wheel may still foul the caliper. Send us your wheel details and we'll verify clearance before you order.

Does this kit keep my electronic parking brake working?

Yes. The rear TTSPORT EP4 caliper has a dedicated EPB actuator piston separate from its four hydraulic braking pistons, so your Model 3's factory electronic parking brake operates exactly as it did stock. You keep the OE convenience and add rear-axle thermal capacity at the same time.
