About the Disc

Will This Fit My Car?

Full Upgrade CCB Big Brake Kits (With Calipers) for the 2024-2026+ Porsche Panamera (976). This page's exact brake setup:

Model Years Front Setup Rear Setup Min. Wheel Size
2024-2026+ Akebono OEM Porsche 10-Piston (10N) Caliper / 440mm Brembo OEM Porsche 19Z 4-Piston Caliper / 410mm 22"

This kit is built per car, not per platform. We engineer the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your confirmed model and trim, because trims sharing a chassis name frequently differ underneath — performance variants can run different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than their standard siblings. You receive calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines as one matched, trim-specific system. Cars with modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points need review before ordering.

The 440 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 22" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

Low Visible Dust

Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Continuous Fiber Construction

StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc needs more pedal than iron on the first winter stops — normal material physics. StopFlex engineered the pad formula and disc coating specifically for cold starts, closing that gap: cold-car winter feel is now very close to summer feel. Keep a little extra distance on the coldest mornings; for harsh winters, choose Street Spec.

Caliper Overview

Front Caliper

The front runs the Akebono OEM Porsche 10-Piston (10N) caliper over a 440mm carbon-ceramic rotor. Ten pistons spread clamp load evenly across a long pad, which keeps pedal feel firm and consistent when the rotor is loaded on repeated stops.

Rear Caliper

The rear uses the Brembo OEM Porsche 19Z 4-piston caliper on a 410mm rotor for balanced rear thermal capacity and clean brake bias. It also carries the factory electronic parking brake function so the Panamera's EPB works exactly as it did stock.

Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

StopFlex Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.

Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

StopFlex Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

StopFlex Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Motorsport Spec

Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

Heat Management Note

Ceramic discs shrug off surface temperatures that would destroy iron, but the rest of the system still heats up: pads, fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels all absorb soak heat during repeated hard stops. For track days, long descents, and sustained hard driving, run brake cooling and high-temperature fluid.

Before ordering, tell us the exact vehicle, current rotor sizes, and caliper type. Nothing goes to production until the build is confirmed against your VIN-level configuration.

FAQ

How do these carbon-ceramic brakes behave on a cold winter morning?

An untuned carbon-ceramic disc bites less than iron when it's cold — that's normal physics, not a fault. We addressed it two ways: the pad is a carbon-ceramic-specific low-metallic compound (steel, copper, aramid fiber, average friction around 0.44) and the disc carries an optimized ceramic coating tuned for cold starts. The result is winter cold-car feel very close to summer feel. On the coldest first stop or two, leave a little extra following distance until temperature builds.

Will this kit fit my exact Panamera trim, or is it a generic platform kit?

It's built bespoke for your confirmed trim, not assumed from the 976 chassis name. Panamera variants can differ in front knuckle geometry, hub offset, and wheel clearance, so we match brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your specific car. We confirm your trim before anything is machined — no platform-wide bolt-on claim.

What wheel size do I need to clear the 440mm front rotor?

The front rotor is 440mm, so you need a minimum 22-inch wheel. Anything under 22 inches will not clear the disc, and spoke geometry matters too — some 22s with tight inner spokes can still foul the Akebono 10N caliper. Send us your exact wheel model during fitment and we'll verify clearance.

Will my dashboard pad-wear warning still work?

Yes. The kit includes brake pad wear sensors that are fully compatible with the Panamera's OEM wear-sensor system, so the factory pad-wear warning keeps functioning with no dashboard errors. The rear Brembo 19Z also retains the factory electronic parking brake.
