About the Disc

Will This Fit My Car?

Direct Replacement CCB Discs (Retain Factory Calipers) for the 2017-2023 Porsche Panamera (971) / 4 / S / GTS. Factory rotor specifications and the smallest wheel that clears each trim:

Trim Front Rotor (Factory) Rear Rotor (Factory) Min. Wheel Size
Base/4/4S/Hybrid 360mm 330mm 19"
GTS 390mm 365mm 20"
PSCB option 410mm 380mm 21"

Keep Your Factory Calipers?

Keep them if the front calipers are fixed 4-piston or more — the rear axle qualifies regardless. Front 1- or 2-piston floating calipers rule out the disc-only route; choose the Full Upgrade kit instead. Every set is machined to the factory rotor specs listed above, and aftermarket calipers (Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, Wilwood) only need the caliper model, pad shape, and rotor dimensions confirmed before we build.

Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

Low Visible Dust

Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Continuous Fiber Construction

StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc needs more pedal than iron on the first winter stops — normal material physics. StopFlex engineered the pad formula and disc coating specifically for cold starts, closing that gap: cold-car winter feel is now very close to summer feel. Keep a little extra distance on the coldest mornings; for harsh winters, choose Street Spec.

Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

StopFlex Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.

Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

StopFlex Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

StopFlex Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Motorsport Spec

Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

Heat Management Note

High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

FAQ

Does this fit my Panamera, or does it depend on my exact trim?

Fitment is trim- and size-specific. On the Base, 4, 4S, and Hybrid, the factory rotors run 360mm front and 330mm rear; on the GTS they step up to 390mm front and 365mm rear; if your car has the PSCB option, it's 410mm front and 380mm rear. This kit is a direct replacement only when your listed front and rear sizes match one of those combinations. It also requires the factory front caliper to be 4-piston or more, which the 971 platform meets. You reuse your factory calipers and just swap the discs, pads, hats, and floating hardware.

Will the pad-wear warning still work, or will I get dashboard errors?

The included pads carry wear sensors that are fully compatible with the Panamera's factory wear-sensor system. Your instrument cluster brake-pad warning keeps functioning exactly as before, with no fault codes or warning lights from the swap. That matters on the 971 because the car actively monitors pad thickness, and a mismatched sensor is a common cause of nuisance warnings.

How do these behave on cold winter mornings compared to my factory brakes?

Straight physics: any cold carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops. That's normal, not a defect. We addressed it two ways on this kit — the low-metallic resin-composite pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating are both tuned for cold starts, so first-stop feel on a cold Panamera now comes very close to warm summer feel. On the coldest mornings it's still smart to leave a little extra following distance for the first one or two stops until everything is up to temperature.

Why is this so much less than a Porsche PCCB replacement quote?

A full factory carbon-ceramic rotor and pad replacement on the 971 can run well past $20,000 at a dealer because you're buying the complete OEM assembly. This kit gives you carbon-ceramic rotors, pads, hats, and floating hardware while reusing your existing factory calipers, so you're not paying for caliper hardware you already own. The pads use a carbon-ceramic-specific compound with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, an average friction coefficient near 0.44, and heat resistance to about 750 °C with strong anti-fade behavior.
