Keep Your Factory Calipers?
Yes — if your front factory calipers are fixed 4-piston or more. The rear axle has no restriction. Cars with 1- or 2-piston floating front calipers should use the Full Upgrade kit (calipers + discs) instead. Discs are built to the factory rotor specs shown above; if you run aftermarket calipers (Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, Wilwood), we simply confirm the caliper model, pad shape, and rotor dimensions before production.
Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface

StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Heat Management Note
Ceramic discs shrug off surface temperatures that would destroy iron, but the rest of the system still heats up: pads, fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels all absorb soak heat during repeated hard stops. For track days, long descents, and sustained hard driving, run brake cooling and high-temperature fluid.

Does this fit my 991 Carrera GTS specifically?
This page covers the 2015-2019 991 Carrera GTS and 4 GTS. It fits cars whose front factory calipers are 4-piston or larger, which is standard on GTS trims. We supply carbon-ceramic rotors matched to the exact factory sizes for your build: 340mm or 350mm front and 330mm or 350mm rear on GTS/4 GTS discs, or 350mm/410mm front and 350mm/390mm rear if your car left the factory with PCCB. Sizes vary by model year and package, so confirm your rotor diameter with us before ordering. Non-listed trims and diameters are not covered here.
How do these brake much in cold weather? I drive my GTS year-round.
Honest physics first: a cold carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops of the day. That is normal for the material, not a defect. We addressed it directly on this kit by tuning both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so cold-car braking feel on your 991 now comes very close to warm summer feel. Still, on the coldest first stops of a winter morning, leave a little extra following distance until the system comes up to temperature.
Will my dashboard throw a brake warning or lose the pad-wear light?
No. This kit uses pad wear sensors that are 100% compatible with the 991's OEM wear-sensor system. The factory pad-wear warning keeps working exactly as it did from Porsche, with no dashboard errors and no coding. You reuse your factory calipers, so nothing changes for the car's electronics.
Why is this so much cheaper than the Porsche PCCB replacement quote?
You are replacing only the wear items — the carbon-ceramic rotors, pads, hats, and floating hardware — while keeping your factory 991 GTS calipers, which are still perfectly good. That is where OEM PCCB estimates get expensive: they price the whole assembly.
