About the Disc

Will This Fit My Car?

Direct Replacement CCB Discs (Retain Factory Calipers) for the 2017-2026+ Porsche 718 Cayman (982) / S / GTS / GT4 RS. Factory rotor specifications and the smallest wheel that clears each trim:

Trim Front Rotor (Factory) Rear Rotor (Factory) Min. Wheel Size
Base/T/S/GTS 330mm, 350mm (PCCB) 299mm, 350mm (PCCB) 18"
GT4 380mm, 410mm (PCCB) 380mm, 390mm (PCCB) 21"
GT4 RS 408mm, 410mm (PCCB) 380mm, 390mm (PCCB) 21"

Keep Your Factory Calipers?

The rule is simple: front factory calipers must be 4-piston or more; the rear has no limit. A 1- or 2-piston floating front setup cannot take direct-replacement discs — that car needs the Full Upgrade kit with calipers. We build to the factory rotor specs above. Aftermarket calipers (Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, Wilwood) work too — send the caliper model, pad shape, and rotor size for confirmation first.

Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

Low Visible Dust

Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Continuous Fiber Construction

StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc needs more pedal than iron on the first winter stops — normal material physics. StopFlex engineered the pad formula and disc coating specifically for cold starts, closing that gap: cold-car winter feel is now very close to summer feel. Keep a little extra distance on the coldest mornings; for harsh winters, choose Street Spec.

Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

StopFlex Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.

Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

StopFlex Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

StopFlex Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Motorsport Spec

Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

Heat Management Note

High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

Get Your Fitment Confirmed

Send the exact vehicle details, current rotor sizes, and caliper type before ordering. Every StopFlex order is confirmed against your VIN-level configuration before production.

FAQ

Will this fit my exact 718 Cayman trim and factory rotor size?

This page covers the 982 Cayman, S, GTS, and GT4 RS, but fitment is tied to the exact factory rotor size on your car. Base/T/S/GTS run 330mm or 350mm (PCCB) front and 299mm or 350mm (PCCB) rear; GT4 runs 380mm or 410mm (PCCB) front and 380mm or 390mm (PCCB) rear; GT4 RS runs 408mm or 410mm (PCCB) front and 380mm or 390mm (PCCB) rear. These discs bolt to your original calipers, so you keep the factory front 4-piston (or larger) fixed calipers. Confirm your front rotor diameter before ordering, since a 330mm car and a 350mm PCCB car use different discs.

How do these brakes behave in winter and on cold first stops?

Any carbon-ceramic disc, factory PCCB included, bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops of a cold morning. That's physics, not a defect. We tuned both the low-metallic resin-composite pad compound and the ceramic coating on the disc for cold-start behavior, so cold-car feel on your 718 now comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest first pull out of the driveway, leave a bit of extra following distance for the first two or three stops, then the system is fully up to temperature and behaves normally.

Do the pad wear sensors still work, or will I get a dashboard warning?

The pads in this kit use wear sensors that are 100% compatible with the 718's OEM wear-sensor system. Your factory pad-wear warning keeps functioning exactly as it did with PCCB, and you won't see spurious brake or sensor errors in the instrument cluster after the swap.

Why is this cheaper than a Porsche PCCB replacement, and is it a true direct swap?

A dealer PCCB rotor replacement is one of the most expensive routine brake jobs a 718 owner ever faces. This kit is a direct-replacement carbon-ceramic disc that reuses your factory calipers, so you're only paying for rotors, pads, hats, and floating hardware instead of a full big-brake conversion. It's a valid direct swap on the 718 because the front factory calipers are 4-piston fixed units; the rear is unrestricted. No caliper changes, no bracket adapters, no relocation.
