About the Disc

Will This Fit My Car?

Direct Replacement CCB Discs (Retain Factory Calipers) for the 2017-2026+ Porsche 718 Boxster (982) / S / GTS / Spyder RS. Factory rotor specifications and the smallest wheel that clears each trim:

Trim Front Rotor (Factory) Rear Rotor (Factory) Min. Wheel Size
Base/T/S/GTS 330mm, 350mm (PCCB) 299mm, 350mm (PCCB) 18"
Spyder 380mm, 410mm (PCCB) 380mm, 390mm (PCCB) 21"
Spyder RS 408mm, 410mm (PCCB) 380mm, 390mm (PCCB) 21"

Keep Your Factory Calipers?

Keep them if the front calipers are fixed 4-piston or more — the rear axle qualifies regardless. Front 1- or 2-piston floating calipers rule out the disc-only route; choose the Full Upgrade kit instead. Every set is machined to the factory rotor specs listed above, and aftermarket calipers (Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, Wilwood) only need the caliper model, pad shape, and rotor dimensions confirmed before we build.

Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

Low Visible Dust

Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Continuous Fiber Construction

StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

StopFlex Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.

Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

StopFlex Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

StopFlex Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Motorsport Spec

Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

Heat Management Note

High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

Get Your Fitment Confirmed

Send the exact vehicle details, current rotor sizes, and caliper type before ordering. Every StopFlex order is confirmed against your VIN-level configuration before production.

FAQ

Do these fit my exact 718 trim, or do I need to check rotor size first?

Check your rotor size, not just the trim. This page covers the Base/T, S, and GTS with 330mm/350mm PCCB front and 299mm/350mm PCCB rear, plus the Spyder (380mm/410mm front, 380mm/390mm rear) and Spyder RS (408mm/410mm front, 380mm/390mm rear). Direct replacement is valid because the 718's factory front calipers are 4-piston fixed units, which these rotors and hats are built around. Match the exact front and rear diameters stamped or measured on your car to the sizes listed here before ordering.

How do carbon ceramic brakes behave on cold winter mornings on the 718?

Honest physics first: any cold carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the very first stops, and that's normal, not a defect. On the 718 we addressed it two ways—a carbon-ceramic-specific low-metallic compound with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, and an optimized ceramic surface coating tuned for cold starts. The result is that cold-car winter feel now comes very close to summer feel. Still, leave a little extra following distance on your first couple of stops on the coldest mornings until the front rotors come up to temperature.

Will my dashboard throw a pad-wear error after installing these?

No. This kit includes brake pad wear sensors that are 100% compatible with the 718's factory wear-sensor system. The car's pad-wear warning keeps working exactly as it did from the factory, with no dashboard fault lights or errors. This is a genuine Porsche-specific concern, and the kit is designed so you don't trade your PCCB rotors for a permanent warning message.

Why is this so much less than a Porsche dealer PCCB replacement?

A full four-corner OEM PCCB replacement at a Porsche dealer commonly runs $20,000 to $35,000 depending on year, trim, and pads. This kit reuses your factory 718 calipers—the expensive, permanent parts—and replaces only the consumables: carbon-ceramic rotors, pads, hats, and floating hardware. You keep the OEM ceramic character, the low dust, and the unsprung weight savings without buying entire caliper assemblies you don't need.
