Fitment here is bespoke: brackets, hat offsets, and caliper mounting are engineered for your exact model and trim rather than copied across the platform. Two trims with the same chassis code can still differ in knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance — which is why we confirm your trim first, then build the matched system of calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and lines for it. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension points require review before ordering.
The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
Continuous Fiber Construction
StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.
Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering
Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.
Long Street-Service Life

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking
Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Front Caliper
The front uses the Brembo V6 / GT6 / GTS6 6-piston caliper family, and you pick the option that matches your build. All three are fixed monobloc 6-piston units that keep pedal feel consistent as the 380 mm disc heats up; the V6 is the OEM Cadillac CTS-V casting, while the GT6 and GTS6 are Brembo's motorsport-line GT bodies.
Rear Caliper
The rear pairs a Brembo V4 / GT4 / GTS4 4-piston caliper with a 380 mm disc, so the back axle carries real thermal capacity instead of leaning on the fronts. Because the X222 runs a factory electronic parking brake, we spec the rear so EPB function is retained on your car.

Heat Management Note
Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat still soaks into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.

FAQ
Will this kit actually fit my exact Maybach, or is it a generic X222 part?
It is built for your confirmed trim, not the platform. The Maybach S500/S550/S560/S600/S650 cars in the X222 family can differ at the front upright, hub geometry, and wheel offset, so we cut the brackets and set the rotor-hat offsets to match the car you actually own. We do not sell a blanket X222 bolt-on; you confirm your trim and we build to it.
Does the rear kit keep my electronic parking brake working?
Yes. The X222 uses a factory electric parking brake on the rear axle, and the Brembo V4 / GT4 / GTS4 rear caliper is specified to retain that EPB function. You keep normal park-brake and hill-hold operation after the swap.
How do these brakes behave in winter and on the first cold stops?
A cold carbon-ceramic disc naturally bites a little less than cold iron on the very first stops. That is physics, not a fault. We tune the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so cold-car feel on a winter morning comes very close to warm summer feel. On the coldest first couple of stops, leave a little extra following distance until the system is up to temperature.
What wheels do I need to clear the 380 mm rotors?
The largest disc here is 380 mm front and rear, so 19-inch wheels are the minimum. Anything under 19 inches will not clear the caliper and disc. Spoke shape also matters on some aftermarket wheels, so send your wheel details and we will check clearance against your chosen caliper before you order.
