2006-2013 Mercedes-Benz R350 / R500 / R63 (W251) CCB Big Brake Kit — Genuine AP Racing CP9560 Radi-CAL II 6-Piston Caliper Front + Genuine AP Racing CP9541 Radi-CAL II 4-Piston Caliper Rear Setup
The W251 R-Class is a heavy Mercedes chassis, and R350, R500 and R63 owners usually shop carbon-ceramic brakes to reduce repeated heat soak, front-end mass and iron rotor dust rather than to solve a cosmetic problem. This StopFlex Kit Upgrade uses 380mm front and rear carbon-ceramic rotors with a Genuine AP Racing CP9560 Radi-CAL II 6-Piston Caliper up front and a Genuine AP Racing CP9541 Radi-CAL II 4-Piston Caliper at the rear. Each kit is built around the confirmed R350, R500 or R63 trim so the brackets, hat offsets and caliper position match the actual W251 hardware and the customer's 19-inch-or-larger wheel package.
- 380mm front and 380mm rear rotors give the W251 R-Class heat capacity appropriate for a heavy 3-row Mercedes chassis without moving to a wheel package smaller than 19 inches.
- The front axle uses the exact Genuine AP Racing CP9560 Radi-CAL II 6-Piston Caliper named for this kit, paired with carbon-ceramic rotors, pads, hats, hardware and lines.
- R350, R500 and R63 W251 fitment is confirmed by exact trim because AMG and non-AMG variants can differ in upright geometry, hub offset and wheel spoke clearance.

Every StopFlex kit is bespoke-engineered for your exact model and trim — the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are matched to your specific car, not assumed from the platform. This matters because trims that share a chassis name can differ mechanically: a pure M or performance variant often carries different front knuckles/uprights, hub geometry, and wheel axial (ET) clearance than the standard models in the same family, so a bracket and hat offset that bolt onto one are not the same parts that fit the other. StopFlex supplies the calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines as a matched system built to your confirmed trim. Cars with modified knuckles, modified uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering and are not treated as direct-fit.
This setup uses a 380 mm front rotor, so the minimum wheel size is 19". Wheels under 19" will not clear the caliper and rotor, and spoke profile and offset affect clearance too — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Caliper Overview — Front & Rear Balance
Front Caliper (Primary Upgrade)
The front axle uses the Genuine AP Racing CP9560 Radi-CAL II 6-Piston Caliper, giving this W251 kit a six-piston fixed-caliper layout for more even pad loading and a firmer response than a smaller sliding-caliper package. AP Racing is a recognized performance brake manufacturer, and the Radi-CAL II architecture is used here as a genuine AP Racing component rather than a generic caliper casting. The caliper is matched to the 380mm carbon-ceramic rotor and StopFlex trim-specific mounting hardware for the customer's exact R350, R500 or R63.
Rear Caliper (Balance)
The rear axle uses the Genuine AP Racing CP9541 Radi-CAL II 4-Piston Caliper with a 380mm carbon-ceramic rotor so rear torque contribution is engineered with the front upgrade instead of left as a stock-caliper compromise. The W251 R-Class uses a mechanical foot-operated parking brake system rather than an electronic parking brake, so there is no EPB motor integration to retain.
Front & rear, engineered together: The CP9560 front and CP9541 rear package is specified as a matched system so piston area, rotor diameter, pad selection and axle torque are considered together. That matters on a W251 R-Class because a front-only change can increase front bias and leave rear stability, pedal travel and ABS behavior dependent on mismatched original hardware.
Make It Yours — Color & Logo Customization
Every StopFlex kit-upgrade order can be finished with custom caliper colors, a custom caliper logo, and custom rotor hat colors, so the brake package matches your exact build instead of a fixed off-the-shelf look.

Why StopFlex CCB
Lower Unsprung Mass
StopFlex carbon-ceramic rotors are engineered to reduce rotor mass versus comparable iron discs, helping the suspension react cleaner and the steering feel more precise.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide matrix is built for stable braking behavior at temperatures that can push iron rotors into heavy fade.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Carbon ceramic does not form orange flash rust after rain, washing, or storage, keeping the visible rotor face cleaner behind open wheels.
Long Street-Service Potential
In normal road use with matched pads and proper bedding, StopFlex CCB rotors are designed for far longer service life than typical iron replacement rotors.
Low Visible Dust
When paired with matched StopFlex pads, the system produces very low visible brake dust compared with conventional iron rotor and pad combinations.
Premium Ceramic-Glaze Appearance
StopFlex's proprietary coating creates a bright, high-end ceramic-glaze finish with subtle glaze texture and a more premium visual character behind open wheels.
Street-Usable Cold Bite
Street Spec and Track-Day Spec rotors are designed for normal first-stop road use, including cold-weather operation. Motorsport Spec is the competition-focused exception.
Continuous Fiber Reinforcement
Long-fiber carbon ceramic construction improves structural strength and thermal durability versus chopped-fiber approaches.
Heat Management Note
Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat can still soak into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.
Street / Track-Day / Motorsport Rotor Options

Street Spec
Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.
Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

Track-Day Spec
Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.
Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

Motorsport Spec
Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.
Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

FAQ
Will this kit fit my exact R350, R500 or R63 W251?
Fitment is not assumed from the W251 chassis name. StopFlex confirms the exact model, trim, year, hub/upright package and wheel data before engineering the brackets, rotor-hat offsets and caliper mounting for that specific R350, R500 or R63.
What wheel size do I need for the 380mm kit?
The 380mm rotor package requires at least a 19-inch wheel. Wheel diameter alone is not enough; spoke shape, inner barrel profile and offset must clear the Genuine AP Racing CP9560 Radi-CAL II 6-Piston Caliper.
Will the parking brake still work?
Yes, when ordered for the W251 mechanical parking-brake configuration, the kit is specified around the factory foot-operated parking brake system. This vehicle family does not use a rear electronic parking brake motor that has to be transferred to the caliper.
Why choose carbon-ceramic over replacement iron rotors on this R-Class?
Carbon-ceramic rotors reduce unsprung rotating mass and brake dust while improving heat stability during repeated high-energy stops. On a heavy W251 R-Class, that directly targets the heat, dust and front-end weight concerns that make owners look beyond standard iron replacement parts.
