Fitment here is bespoke: brackets, hat offsets, and caliper mounting are engineered for your exact model and trim rather than copied across the platform. Two trims with the same chassis code can still differ in knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance — which is why we confirm your trim first, then build the matched system of calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and lines for it. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension points require review before ordering.
The 420 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 21" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Keep a little extra distance on the coldest mornings; for harsh winters, choose Street Spec.
Caliper Overview
Front Caliper
The front runs the Akebono OEM Audi RS 10-Piston (10N) caliper, a monobloc unit clamping a 420mm carbon-ceramic rotor. Ten pistons spread pad pressure evenly across the disc, which keeps pedal response consistent when you're hauling down a 5,000-plus-pound GLE from highway speed.
Rear Caliper
The rear uses the Brembo OEM Porsche 19Z 4-piston caliper on a 410mm rotor, adding real thermal capacity at the back axle so the fronts aren't doing all the work on repeated stops. It is set up to work with the GLE's electronic parking brake.

Heat Management Note
High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

How do these brakes behave on a cold winter morning?
Carbon-ceramic discs physically bite less than iron when they're stone cold, so an untuned setup can feel wooden on the first stop. We've addressed that from two directions: the pad is a carbon-ceramic-specific low-metallic resin compound (steel, copper, and aramid fiber, about 0.44 average friction) and the disc carries a ceramic coating tuned for cold engagement. Cold-car feel on the GLE now comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest first stops, still leave a little extra following distance until the system takes a few applications to wake up.
Will this kit actually fit my exact GLE trim?
We build every kit to your confirmed trim, not to the V167/C167 platform in general. A GLE63 S carries different front knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel clearance than a GLE350 or GLE450, so the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are machined for your specific car. We never ship a one-size platform bolt-on. Send us your VIN and trim and we confirm the setup before anything is built.
What wheels do I need to clear this kit?
The front rotor is 420mm, so you need at least 21-inch wheels. Anything under 21 inches will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke shape matters too, not just diameter, so send us your wheel details and we'll verify barrel and spoke clearance for your GLE before you order.
Why go carbon ceramic on a GLE instead of larger iron rotors?
The GLE and AMG GLE are heavy, fast SUVs, and iron rotors of this size add real unsprung and rotating mass while fading under repeated hard stops. Carbon-ceramic discs cut that weight, resist fade far better, and the matched pad handles heat to roughly 750 degrees C with strong anti-fade behavior. On a 5,000-plus-pound vehicle that means more repeatable stopping and far less brake dust on the wheels.
