Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension points require review before ordering.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

Cold facts first: an untuned ceramic disc bites less than iron on a freezing morning — physics, not a defect. StopFlex tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so winter cold-car braking now feels very close to summer. Leave extra margin on the very coldest first stops; severe-climate daily drivers should build Street Spec.

Caliper Overview

Front Caliper

The front uses the OEM AMG 6-piston caliper, the same fixed monobloc unit AMG fits to its performance GLC models, for consistent clamping and a firm, repeatable pedal on a 390mm carbon-ceramic rotor. It carries genuine AMG provenance, so it looks and behaves exactly as the factory hardware does.

Rear Caliper

The rear runs the TTSPORT EP4 4-piston forged-aluminum caliper with an integrated fifth EPB actuator piston, so your factory electronic parking brake keeps working while the rear axle gains real thermal capacity on a 380mm rotor. It uses four 28mm hydraulic service pistons plus a 27mm EPB piston, a two-piece forged body around 4.50 kg per caliper without pads, and a high-temperature gloss coating.

Heat Management Note

Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat still soaks into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.

Will these brakes work on my exact GLC trim, or is this a generic platform kit?

Every kit is engineered for your confirmed trim, not the X254/C254 platform in general. A GLC63 S runs different front knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel clearance than a GLC300 or GLC43, so we match the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your specific car. We confirm trim and VIN before building anything, so nothing is assumed.

How do carbon-ceramic brakes behave on a cold winter morning?

A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops. That's physics, not a fault. We've tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so cold-car winter feel now comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest first stops, still leave a bit more following distance until everything is up to temperature.

What wheels do I need to clear these rotors?

The 390mm front rotor requires a minimum 20-inch wheel, and spoke clearance matters as much as diameter, so an aggressive 20-inch design can still interfere. The rear 380mm setup is fine behind 18-inch and up, but the front sets the floor. Send us your wheel details during fitment and we'll confirm clearance before you order.

Does this keep my factory electronic parking brake?

Yes. The rear TTSPORT EP4 caliper has a dedicated EPB actuator piston separate from its four hydraulic pistons, so your factory electronic parking brake works exactly as it did from Mercedes. You get real rear-axle thermal capacity without losing OE parking-brake convenience or throwing dashboard faults.
