This kit is built per car, not per platform. We engineer the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your confirmed model and trim, because trims sharing a chassis name frequently differ underneath — performance variants can run different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than their standard siblings. You receive calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines as one matched, trim-specific system. Cars with modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points need review before ordering.
The 390 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 20" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.
Long Street-Service Life
In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
Winter & Cold-Weather Braking
Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Front Caliper
The front uses the OEM AMG 6-piston fixed caliper matched to a 390mm carbon-ceramic rotor. Six opposed pistons apply even pad pressure across the disc, so pedal response stays firm and consistent from cold city stops through repeated hard braking.
Rear Caliper
The rear uses the OEM AMG 4-piston fixed caliper on a 380mm carbon-ceramic rotor for real thermal capacity at the back axle, and it's built to work with the W214/S214 electronic parking brake.

Heat Management Note
Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat still soaks into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.

FAQ
Will these brakes clear my wheels?
The front rotor is 390mm, so you need a minimum 20-inch wheel. Wheels under 20 inches will not clear the rotor and caliper, and spoke shape matters as much as diameter, so send us your exact wheel and offset before ordering so we can confirm clearance for the AMG 6-piston front caliper.
Is this a universal W214 bolt-on kit?
No. We build each kit for your confirmed trim, whether that's an E350, E450, E53, or a full AMG car. Trims that share the W214/S214 name can run different front knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel clearance, so the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are cut for your specific car, never assumed from the platform.
How do these carbon-ceramic brakes behave in winter?
An untuned cold carbon-ceramic disc bites less than cold iron on the first stops; that's normal physics, not a defect. We've tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so cold-car winter feel now comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest first stops of the day, leaving a little extra following distance is still smart.
Does the kit keep my electronic parking brake working?
Yes. The rear OEM AMG 4-piston caliper on the 380mm carbon-ceramic rotor is set up to retain the factory electronic parking brake on the W214/S214, so your EPB, auto-hold, and hill-start assist keep functioning after the install.
