Every StopFlex kit is bespoke-engineered for your exact model and trim — brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are matched to your specific car, never assumed from the platform. Trims that share a chassis name can differ mechanically: a pure performance variant often carries different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than the standard models, so parts that bolt onto one are not the parts that fit the other. Calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines ship as one matched system built to your confirmed trim. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering.

The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Front Caliper

The front uses the Brembo V6 / GT6 / GTS6 6-piston caliper over a 380mm carbon-ceramic rotor — pick V6 (OEM Cadillac CTS-V), GT6 (GT | M6), or GTS6 (GT | S6). All six pistons give the heavy W212 even clamp and a firm, repeatable pedal through back-to-back highway slowdowns.

Rear Caliper

The rear pairs a Brembo V4 / GT4 / GTS4 4-piston caliper with a 380mm rotor for balanced heat capacity on a two-ton sedan. Choose V4 (OEM CTS-V), GT4 (GT | M4), or GTS4 (GT | S4); each is set up to work with the W212's factory parking-brake system on your confirmed trim.

Heat Management Note

Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat still soaks into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.

FAQ

My E350 keeps warping front rotors and shaking under braking — will this actually fix it?

That shudder comes from the W212's mass overheating iron rotors on repeated highway slowdowns, which distorts them and forces frequent replacement. The 380mm carbon-ceramic front rotors run far higher and more stable temperatures, so they resist the thermal distortion that causes pulsation. The pad is a carbon-ceramic-specific low-metallic compound (steel, copper, aramid fiber) with about 0.44 friction and fade resistance to roughly 750°C, built to hold consistent feel on the heavy E-Class.

Will this kit fit my exact car, or is it a generic platform kit?

It is bespoke-engineered for your confirmed W212/S212 trim, not a platform-wide bolt-on. The E63 and E63S AMG cars use different front knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel clearance than an E350 or E550, so the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are cut for your specific trim once you confirm it. We never assume fit from the chassis name alone.

How do these carbon-ceramic brakes behave in winter and cold starts?

Physics first: any cold carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the very first stops — that is normal, not a defect. We tuned both the pad compound and the ceramic disc coating specifically for cold-start bite, so winter cold-car feel now comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest first few stops, still leave a bit of extra following distance until the system reaches temperature.

What wheels do I need to clear this kit?

The 380mm rotors require a minimum 19-inch wheel front and rear, and spoke clearance matters as much as diameter — a barrel that clears the rotor can still foul the 6-piston front caliper. Send your wheel specs with your fitment request so we confirm clearance for your W212 before building.
