This kit is built per car, not per platform. We engineer the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your confirmed model and trim, because trims sharing a chassis name frequently differ underneath — performance variants can run different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than their standard siblings. You receive calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines as one matched, trim-specific system. Cars with modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points need review before ordering.
The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
Low Visible Dust
Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.
Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish
StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.
Continuous Fiber Construction
StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.
Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering
Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.
Long Street-Service Life
In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.
Winter & Cold-Weather Braking
Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.
Caliper Overview
Front Caliper
The front uses the Brembo V6 / GT6 / GTS6 6-piston caliper, and you pick which one fits your build: V6 is the Brembo OEM Cadillac CTS-V caliper, GT6 is the Brembo GT M6, and GTS6 is the GT S6 — all on a 380mm rotor. Six pistons spread clamping load evenly across a long pad for consistent bite and a firm pedal on the heavier CLK500/550 and CLK63 chassis.
Rear Caliper
The rear pairs a Brembo V4 / GT4 / GTS4 4-piston caliper with a 380mm rotor: V4 (Cadillac CTS-V), GT4 (GT M4), or GTS4 (GT S4). It adds real rear thermal capacity so the front axle isn't doing all the work during repeated hard stops.
Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

Street Spec
Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.
Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

Track-Day Spec
Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.
Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

Motorsport Spec
Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.
Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.
Heat Management Note
Ceramic discs shrug off surface temperatures that would destroy iron, but the rest of the system still heats up: pads, fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels all absorb soak heat during repeated hard stops. For track days, long descents, and sustained hard driving, run brake cooling and high-temperature fluid.
Get Your Fitment Confirmed
Send the exact vehicle details, current rotor sizes, and caliper type before ordering. Every StopFlex order is confirmed against your VIN-level configuration before production.
FAQ
Will this fit my exact CLK trim, or is it a generic W209 kit?
It's built to your confirmed trim, not the platform. A CLK350 or CLK500 and a CLK63 AMG can differ in front knuckle geometry, hub offset, and wheel clearance, so we machine the brackets and set the rotor-hat offsets specifically for the car you tell us. We do not assume one bolt pattern fits every C209/A209 — we confirm your trim first.
What size wheels do I need to clear these brakes?
The front and rear both run 380mm rotors, so you need at least 19-inch wheels. Wheels under 19 inches will not clear the caliper and rotor, and spoke shape matters too — some 19s with deep or tight spokes still foul the six-piston front caliper, so send us your wheel details before ordering.
How do carbon-ceramic brakes behave in winter on a cold CLK?
An untuned cold ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron — that's physics, not a defect. We've tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so first-stop feel on a cold morning now comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest first few stops it's still smart to leave a bit of extra following distance until everything is up to temperature.
What pads come with the kit, and how hot can they run?
You get a carbon-ceramic-specific low-metallic resin-composite pad with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, averaging about a 0.44 coefficient of friction and rated to roughly 750 °C with strong anti-fade behavior. That matches the 380mm ceramic discs and the six-piston front / four-piston rear setup for repeated hard stops without the fade you'd see from a stock CLK setup.
