The rule is simple: front factory calipers must be 4-piston or more; the rear has no limit. A 1- or 2-piston floating front setup cannot take direct-replacement discs — that car needs the Full Upgrade kit with calipers. We build to the factory rotor specs above. Aftermarket calipers (Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, Wilwood) work too — send the caliper model, pad shape, and rotor size for confirmation first.
Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Heat Management Note
Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat still soaks into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.

Will this fit my A45 if I keep the factory calipers?
Yes. This is a Direct Replacement kit that reuses your factory A45 (W176) calipers, which are 4-piston front units, so the front swap is valid. The kit is sized to the factory 350mm front and 330mm rear rotors, so it drops onto the stock caliper mounting without adapters. Only the W176 A45 with those exact rotor sizes is covered on this page.
How does cold-weather braking compare to my stock iron rotors in winter?
Any carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops of a cold morning — that's basic physics, not a fault. On this A45 kit we tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating specifically for cold starts, so winter cold-car feel now lands very close to summer feel. Still leave a little extra following distance on the first couple of stops until the fronts come up to temperature.
Does this solve the brake dust problem I get from the stock A45 pads?
Yes. The factory A45 semi-metallic pads throw a lot of dark dust onto the wheels. The carbon-ceramic-specific pad here is a low-metallic resin-composite with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, and the ceramic disc surface sheds far less visible dust, so the wheels stay cleaner between washes.
