Keep Your Factory Calipers?
Keep them if the front calipers are fixed 4-piston or more — the rear axle qualifies regardless. Front 1- or 2-piston floating calipers rule out the disc-only route; choose the Full Upgrade kit instead. Every set is machined to the factory rotor specs listed above, and aftermarket calipers (Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, Wilwood) only need the caliper model, pad shape, and rotor dimensions confirmed before we build.
Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Keep a little extra distance on the coldest mornings; for harsh winters, choose Street Spec.

Heat Management Note
High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

FAQ
Will this fit both my X7 M50i and my friend's M60i?
Fronts are shared: both the M50i and M60i (G07) run a 395mm front rotor, so the front discs, pads, hats, and hardware in this kit fit either trim. Rears differ. The M50i uses a 370mm rear rotor and the M60i uses a 398mm rear rotor, so you must select the rear that matches your exact trim. Verify your trim badge and factory rotor size before ordering; this page covers only the M50i and M60i, not the X7 40i.
Do these work with my factory calipers, or do I need new ones?
This is a direct replacement that reuses your G07 factory calipers. The carbon-ceramic rotors, hats, and floating hardware are machined to bolt to your existing 4-piston-or-larger front calipers, and the included pads are cut for the same caliper. You keep your factory caliper look and your existing brake lines. The only requirement is that your front calipers are the OEM 4-piston (or larger) units the M50i and M60i ship with.
How do these behave in winter on a cold engine start?
Honest physics: a stone-cold carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the very first stops, because the ceramic matrix needs a small amount of heat to reach full friction. That is normal, not a fault. We addressed it two ways: the low-metallic resin-composite pad (steel, copper, aramid fiber, roughly 0.44 average friction) is tuned for early bite, and the disc carries an optimized ceramic coating for cold starts. On a G07 the result is winter cold-car feel very close to summer feel. Still, leave a little extra following distance on your first few stops on the coldest mornings.
Does this affect my electronic parking brake or wheel fitment?
The kit keeps the factory rear caliper and its integrated electronic parking brake function intact, so your EPB works exactly as it did from the factory. On wheels, the 395mm front and 370/398mm rear carbon-ceramic setup needs the same clearance the OEM rotors already use, so your factory 21- or 22-inch X7 wheels clear without spacers. If you run aftermarket wheels, confirm inner-barrel clearance before ordering.
