Two trims with the same chassis code can still differ in knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance — which is why we confirm your trim first, then build the matched system of calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and lines for it. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension points require review before ordering.
The 420 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 21" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking
A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc needs more pedal than iron on the first winter stops — normal material physics. StopFlex engineered the pad formula and disc coating specifically for cold starts, closing that gap: cold-car winter feel is now very close to summer feel. The front caliper is the Akebono OEM Audi RS 10-Piston (10N) unit, a genuine 10-piston monobloc that clamps the 420mm carbon-ceramic front rotor with even pad loading for a firm, repeatable pedal on a 2.5-ton X6.
Rear Caliper
The rear runs the Brembo OEM Porsche 19Z 4-Piston caliper on a 380mm disc, adding real rear thermal capacity so the fronts aren't doing all the work under repeated heavy stops.

Heat Management Note
High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

Will this fit my exact X6 or X6 M without guesswork?
Every kit is built for your confirmed trim, not the F16/F86 platform in general. The X6 M uses different front knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel clearance than a 50i or 35i, so we cut trim-specific brackets and set rotor-hat offsets for the car you actually own. We never sell it as a universal platform bolt-on.
What wheels do I need to clear the 420mm front rotors?
The 420mm front disc and 10-piston Akebono caliper require a minimum 21-inch wheel. Anything under 21 inches will not clear the caliper, and spoke shape matters too, so send your wheel details during fitment and we'll confirm clearance before anything ships.
How do these brakes behave in winter and cold starts?
A cold carbon-ceramic disc naturally bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops. We've tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so winter cold-car feel now comes very close to summer feel. Still, leave a little extra following distance on the first few stops when it's below freezing.
Does the kit keep my electronic parking brake working?
Yes. The F16/F86 uses a factory electromechanical parking brake, and the rear Brembo 19Z setup is engineered to retain full EPB operation. Auto Hold and the electric release work exactly as they did from the factory.
