About the Disc

2007-2013 BMW M3 (E90/E92/E93) Sedan, Coupe & Convertible Carbon Ceramic Brake Kits

The E90/E92/E93 M3 pairs a high-revving S65 V8 with a relatively heavy front load, so buyers usually want stronger repeatability without losing road manners. On this chassis, brake upgrade decisions often center on staying close to the factory 360/350 sizing, wheel clearance, and track heat control.

  • Body style: Sedan, Coupe & Convertible
  • Front rotor reference: M3: 360mm
  • Rear rotor reference: M3: 350mm

This is an OEM-size replacement kit. The rotors are built to the factory rotor spec and install with the factory caliper when the front caliper is a fixed design and the rotor spec matches. The included pad shape matches the OEM pad shape. If the car uses aftermarket calipers such as Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, or Wilwood, provide the exact caliper model and StopFlex can supply the matching pad shape. Direct replacement is not confirmed if the front caliper is floating, or if the car already runs a non-OEM-offset rotor and the actual rotor dimensions cannot be supplied.

Why StopFlex CCB

Lightweight

Half the Weight, Sharper Handling. StopFlex carbon-ceramic rotors shed roughly half the mass of equivalent iron discs. This massive drop in unsprung weight instantly transforms your chassis, delivering sharper turn-in response and a significantly more refined road feel.

High-Temp Resistance

Minimal Brake Fade at 900°C (1652°F). While traditional iron rotors severely fade under heavy track loads, our CCB matrix holds a stable 0.30μ friction coefficient even at 900°C (1652°F). You get consistent, predictable stopping power when things get dangerously hot.

Corrosion Resistance

100% Rust-Free Durability. Say goodbye to flash rust after a car wash or heavy rain. The carbon-silicon carbide material is naturally impervious to corrosion, ensuring your brake rotors look completely clean and pristine no matter the weather conditions.

Long Lifespan

250,000+ km (155,000+ mi) Lifespan. Iron rotors typically require replacement around 100,000 km (62,000 mi). In normal street driving conditions, a StopFlex CCB rotor can easily last 250,000 to 300,000 km (155,000 to 186,000 mi), effectively outlasting the vehicle itself.

Ultra-Low Dust

Ultra-Low Visible Brake Dust. Heavy black dust destroying your wheel finish is a thing of the past. When paired with our matched StopFlex pads, these rotors generate virtually zero visible brake dust, keeping your premium wheels spotless for much longer.

Premium Visual Finish

Premium Mirror-Like Finish. StopFlex utilizes a patented ceramic formula that cures with a distinct crackle pattern. The surface is machined dead-smooth for high reflectivity, providing a premium aesthetic behind open wheels under the right lighting.

High Normal-Temp Friction

Strong Initial Bite (0.40μ+). With matched StopFlex pads, normal-temperature friction can exceed 0.40μ for a firmer pedal feel and strong initial bite.

Long-Fiber Construction

Continuous Long-Fiber Strength. StopFlex utilizes a continuous long-fiber 3D matrix. This structure is significantly stronger and offers higher thermal conductivity than standard chopped-fiber OEM CCM discs.

Cold First-Stop Confidence

Reliable Cold-Bite at -20°C (-4°F). Coated street rotors still deliver normal first-stop braking at -20°C (-4°F). Uncoated motorsport rotors are the exception.

Important heat note

Carbon ceramic does not shed heat as fast as steel. Long hard driving can heat-soak the rest of the brake system, including fluid, seals, and nearby parts. Unless the car already has strong brake cooling, or you plan to upgrade brake cooling, prolonged aggressive driving is not recommended.

Rotor options

BMW M3 (E90/E92/E93) Sedan, Coupe & Convertible Street Spec carbon ceramic rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating + cross-drilled face + large cooling channels.

For mainly street-driven E9x M3s, choose the stock-size style setup to keep fitment straightforward and preserve the factory feel.

BMW M3 (E90/E92/E93) Sedan, Coupe & Convertible Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating + blank face + honeycomb cooling channels.

For mixed street and track E9x M3s, use the size matched to your caliper package and wheel clearance, with front bias toward the proven 360mm class.

BMW M3 (E90/E92/E93) Sedan, Coupe & Convertible Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic rotor

Motorsport Spec

No coating + blank face + honeycomb cooling channels. Not for normal street use.

For dedicated hard-use cars, order only against a confirmed caliper and hat package, and pair the kit with proper brake cooling.

FAQ

Will a StopFlex carbon ceramic brake kit for the BMW M3 E90/E92/E93 fit my factory calipers, or only aftermarket calipers?

That depends on the exact StopFlex kit and hat/caliper pairing, not just the chassis. If your car still uses the factory E9x M3 calipers, confirm the kit is built for that caliper first; if you run an F8x retrofit or another BBK, order to that exact caliper setup.

What is the right StopFlex carbon ceramic brake size for my 2007-2013 BMW M3 E90/E92/E93?

For this row, the reference sizes are 360mm front and 350mm rear, which is the cleanest starting point for stock-style fitment and balance. If your car already has a caliper conversion, choose the rotor size that matches that hardware and your wheel clearance, not just the factory dimensions.

Is a StopFlex carbon ceramic brake kit a good choice for daily or weekend street use on an E92/E90/E93 M3, including cold first stops?

Yes, if you want less brake dust, lower wear, and better consistency than heavy track-oriented iron setups. The main question is whether you want a street-friendly calibration, because this chassis is often driven in short trips where cold bite and smooth first-stop feel still matter.

Do I need extra cooling when upgrading my BMW M3 E90/E92/E93 to a StopFlex carbon ceramic brake kit for track use?

For occasional fast road driving, usually no extra work is needed beyond a correct setup. For repeated hard laps, this platform is known to benefit from good airflow management, so cooling ducts and a complete heat plan are smart if you run long sessions or sticky tires.
