2016-2021 BMW M2 / Competition (F87) Carbon Ceramic Brake Kit — OEM-Size Replacement
F87 M2 owners usually look at carbon ceramic brakes for one of three reasons: heat fade on repeated track sessions, heavy iron-rotor dust on open wheels, or the cost of replacing worn or cracked factory CCB discs. This OEM-size StopFlex kit is built around the correct F87 brake package: 380 mm front / 370 mm rear for the standard M2, 400 mm front / 380 mm rear for M2 Competition and CS, and 400 mm front / 380 mm rear for factory CCB cars. Carbon-ceramic rotors reduce unsprung mass versus iron, keep brake dust low, and retain the factory-style rotor diameter, hats, pads, and floating hardware needed for a direct replacement configuration.
- Standard 2016-2018 F87 M2 fitment uses 380 mm front and 370 mm rear OEM-size replacement rotors.
- M2 Competition and M2 CS fitment uses the larger 400 mm front and 380 mm rear brake package; wheel clearance must be confirmed before ordering.
- Factory carbon-ceramic F87 cars use 400 mm front and 380 mm rear CCB-size replacement rotors, allowing worn OEM CCB discs to be replaced without changing the brake layout.

| Model years | 2016-2021 |
| Front rotor reference | M2: 380mm; Competition/CS: 400mm; (CCB): 400mm |
| Rear rotor reference | M2: 370mm; Competition/CS: 380mm; (CCB): 380mm |
| Page type | OEM-size carbon ceramic replacement |
| Minimum wheel size | 19" (for the 380 mm rotor) |
For OEM replacement orders, StopFlex builds around the factory rotor specification shown for this vehicle. Front floating-caliper setups require manual review before production. If the car uses aftermarket calipers such as Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, or Wilwood, the order can still be built, but the exact caliper model, pad shape, and rotor dimensions must be confirmed before production.
This setup uses a 380 mm rotor, so the minimum wheel size is 19". Wheels under 19" will not clear the caliper and rotor, and spoke profile and offset affect clearance too — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.
Why StopFlex CCB
Lower Unsprung Mass
StopFlex carbon-ceramic rotors are engineered to reduce rotor mass versus comparable iron discs, helping the suspension react cleaner and the steering feel more precise.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide matrix is built for stable braking behavior at temperatures that can push iron rotors into heavy fade.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Carbon ceramic does not form orange flash rust after rain, washing, or storage, keeping the visible rotor face cleaner behind open wheels.
Long Street-Service Potential
In normal road use with matched pads and proper bedding, StopFlex CCB rotors are designed for far longer service life than typical iron replacement rotors.
Low Visible Dust
When paired with matched StopFlex pads, the system produces very low visible brake dust compared with conventional iron rotor and pad combinations.
Premium Ceramic-Glaze Appearance
StopFlex's proprietary coating creates a bright, high-end ceramic-glaze finish with subtle glaze texture and a more premium visual character behind open wheels.
Street-Usable Cold Bite
Street Spec and Track-Day Spec rotors are designed for normal first-stop road use, including cold-weather operation. Motorsport Spec is the competition-focused exception.
Continuous Fiber Reinforcement
Long-fiber carbon ceramic construction improves structural strength and thermal durability versus chopped-fiber approaches.
Custom Rotor Hat Color
Every StopFlex OEM replacement order can be built with a custom rotor hat color, giving the carbon ceramic rotor package a cleaner match with the wheel, body color, and overall build style.
Heat Management Note
Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat can still soak into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.
Street / Track-Day / Motorsport Rotor Options

Street Spec
Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.
Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

Track-Day Spec
Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.
Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

Motorsport Spec
Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.
Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

FAQ
Will this StopFlex kit fit every 2016-2021 BMW M2?
No. This page is only for the listed F87 M2 brake configurations: standard M2 with 380 mm front / 370 mm rear rotors, M2 Competition or CS with 400 mm front / 380 mm rear rotors, or factory CCB cars with 400 mm front / 380 mm rear rotors. Confirm trim, rotor diameter, caliper package, wheel size, and VIN before ordering.
Will my parking brake still work?
Yes. The F87 M2 uses a mechanical parking-brake system, not a rear-caliper EPB motor like newer G-chassis cars. The StopFlex rear rotor setup is configured to retain the factory parking-brake function when ordered for the correct F87 rotor size.
Why replace the factory iron brakes with carbon ceramic on an F87 M2?
Carbon ceramic rotors handle repeated high-temperature stops with less fade than iron, produce far less visible dust, and reduce unsprung rotating mass. On an F87 M2 used for track days and street driving, those gains are most noticeable in pedal consistency, wheel cleanliness, and steering response.
Do I need different wheels for the 400 mm M2 Competition or CS setup?
Possibly. The 400 mm front brake package is the limiting clearance point on M2 Competition, M2 CS, and CCB-equipped F87 cars, and many 18-inch wheels will not clear it. Confirm barrel and spoke clearance before ordering; do not assume fitment from diameter alone.
Need Fitment Confirmation?
Send the exact vehicle details, current rotor sizes, and caliper type before ordering.
