Every StopFlex kit is bespoke-engineered for your exact model and trim — brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are matched to your specific car, never assumed from the platform. Trims that share a chassis name can differ mechanically: a pure performance variant often carries different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than the standard models, so parts that bolt onto one are not the parts that fit the other. Calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines ship as one matched system built to your confirmed trim. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering.
The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering
Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.
Rust-Free Rotor Surface
Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.
Long Street-Service Life

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking
Winter question, straight answer: untuned ceramic discs bite less when cold. StopFlex optimized the pad compound and the rotor's ceramic coating for cold operation, so cold-start braking in winter feels very close to warm-weather braking. Extra following distance on freezing first stops is still smart; severe-winter daily cars should run Street Spec.

Front Caliper
The front runs a Brembo 6-piston caliper over a 380 mm carbon-ceramic rotor, and you pick among the V6 (OEM Cadillac CTS-V), GT6 (Brembo GT | M6), and GTS6 (Brembo GT | S6). All three deliver consistent clamping and a firm, repeatable pedal through repeated hard stops on the F44.
Rear Caliper
The rear pairs a Brembo 4-piston caliper with a 355 mm rotor, chosen from the V4 (OEM Cadillac CTS-V), GT4 (Brembo GT | M4), or GTS4 (Brembo GT | S4). It adds rear thermal capacity and balances the bigger front so the F44 doesn't lean entirely on the front axle under heavy braking.

Heat Management Note
High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

FAQ
Will this kit fit my exact F44 trim, or is it a generic platform kit?
It is engineered for your confirmed trim. A 218i, 220i, 228i xDrive, or M235i xDrive can differ in knuckle geometry, hub offset, and wheel clearance, so the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are cut for the car you specify. We do not sell this as a platform-wide bolt-on. Send your VIN and trim so the hats and brackets match before anything ships.
What wheels do I need to clear the 380 mm front rotor?
The front rotor is 380 mm, so you need a minimum 19-inch wheel. Anything smaller will not clear the disc, and spoke shape matters as much as diameter, since the 6-piston caliper needs room behind the spokes. If you run 19s, send your wheel model and we'll check spoke and barrel clearance for your F44.
How does this kit behave in cold winter driving?
A cold carbon-ceramic disc naturally bites a little less than cold iron on the first stops. That is physics, not a fault. We tune both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so winter cold-car feel comes very close to summer feel on the F44. Leave a bit of extra following distance on the coldest first stops until the system reaches temperature.
Does this work with the F44's electronic parking brake?
Yes. The F44 uses a factory electromechanical parking brake, and the rear 4-piston setup and 355 mm rotor are configured to retain that function. You keep normal EPB operation and Auto Hold; nothing about the electronics changes.
