Will This Fit My Car?

Full Upgrade CCB Big Brake Kits (With Calipers) for the 2007-2014 Audi TT / TTS / TT RS (8J). This page's exact brake setup:

Every StopFlex kit is bespoke-engineered for your exact model and trim — brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are matched to your specific car, never assumed from the platform. Trims that share a chassis name can differ mechanically: a pure performance variant often carries different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than the standard models, so parts that bolt onto one are not the parts that fit the other. Calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines ship as one matched system built to your confirmed trim. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering.

The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

Low Visible Dust

Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Continuous Fiber Construction

StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc needs more pedal than iron on the first winter stops — normal material physics. StopFlex engineered the pad formula and disc coating specifically for cold starts, closing that gap: cold-car winter feel is now very close to summer feel. Keep a little extra distance on the coldest mornings; for harsh winters, choose Street Spec.

Caliper Overview

Front Caliper

The Akebono OEM Audi S 6-Piston (8N) Caliper is a factory Audi S-series 6-piston caliper carried over for this front upgrade, so you get proven OE clamping and consistent pedal feel from a known production part rather than an unbranded aftermarket body. It clamps the 380mm front rotor, which sets the 19-inch minimum wheel size.

Rear Caliper

The rear runs the TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper, a two-piece forged-aluminum caliper built for platforms that still need an electronic parking brake. It uses 4 hydraulic service pistons (28 mm) plus one dedicated 27 mm EPB actuator piston, so factory parking-brake function is retained while the rear axle gains real thermal capacity; caliper weight is about 4.50 kg without pads. On the 8J the EP4 and slightly larger EP4S share the same engineering, so the choice comes down to your rear-rotor size and spoke clearance.

Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

StopFlex Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.

Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

StopFlex Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

StopFlex Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Motorsport Spec

Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

Heat Management Note

Ceramic discs shrug off surface temperatures that would destroy iron, but the rest of the system still heats up: pads, fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels all absorb soak heat during repeated hard stops. For track days, long descents, and sustained hard driving, run brake cooling and high-temperature fluid.

Get Your Fitment Confirmed

Before ordering, tell us the exact vehicle, current rotor sizes, and caliper type. Nothing goes to production until the build is confirmed against your VIN-level configuration.

FAQ

Will these carbon-ceramic brakes work in winter and cold weather?

Yes, with one honest caveat. Any cold carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the very first stops—that's physics, not a defect. StopFlex tunes both the low-metallic pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so on the 8J the cold-car pedal feel comes very close to warm feel after a stop or two. On the coldest mornings, leave a little extra following distance for your first few stops and the system comes up to temperature quickly.

Is this kit an exact fit for my TT, TTS, or TT RS?

It's bespoke-engineered for your confirmed trim, not a platform-wide bolt-on. The TT RS uses different front knuckle and hub geometry than the standard TT and TTS, so brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are matched to the exact car you tell us. We build to your VIN-confirmed trim; we don't assume fitment from the 8J chassis name alone.

What wheels do I need to clear the 380mm rotors?

The 380mm front rotor sets a hard 19-inch minimum wheel diameter—anything under 19 inches will not clear the Akebono 6-piston caliper. Spoke clearance also matters, so confirm your wheel's inner spoke profile and offset with us before ordering, especially on aftermarket wheels.

Does this keep my factory electronic parking brake?

Yes. The 8J uses a factory electronic parking brake, and the rear TTSPORT EP4 caliper has a dedicated 27 mm EPB actuator piston separate from its 4 hydraulic braking pistons. That preserves your OE electronic parking-brake function while adding rear-axle thermal capacity—no manual lever conversion or workaround needed.
