Will This Fit My Car?

Full Upgrade CCB Big Brake Kits (With Calipers) for the 2019-2026+ Audi Q8 / SQ8 / RS Q8 (4M). This page's exact brake setup:

Model Years Front Setup Rear Setup Min. Wheel Size
2019-2026+ Akebono OEM Audi S 6-Piston (8N) Caliper / 380mm TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper integrated with EPB / 380mm 19"

This kit is built per car, not per platform. We engineer the brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your confirmed model and trim, because trims sharing a chassis name frequently differ underneath — performance variants can run different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than their standard siblings. You receive calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines as one matched, trim-specific system. Cars with modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points need review before ordering.

The 380 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 19" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Continuous Fiber Construction

StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, one StopFlex CCB rotor set is engineered to outlast several sets of iron replacement rotors, recovering part of the up-front cost.

Low Visible Dust

Matched with StopFlex pads, the system sheds a fraction of the dust an iron rotor and pad combination throws. Wheels stay clean for weeks of driving instead of days.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

Cold facts first: an untuned ceramic disc bites less than iron on a freezing morning — physics, not a defect. StopFlex tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so winter cold-car braking now feels very close to summer. Leave extra margin on the very coldest first stops; severe-climate daily drivers should build Street Spec.

Caliper Overview

Front Caliper

The front caliper is the Akebono OEM Audi S 6-Piston (8N), the same monobloc 6-piston unit Audi fits to its S-model performance cars. Six pistons spread clamping load evenly across the pad for a firm, repeatable pedal on a 5,000-lb SUV that stops from real speed.

Rear Caliper

The rear is the TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper with a dedicated EPB actuator piston, so you keep the factory electronic parking brake while adding rear thermal capacity. It uses four 28 mm hydraulic service pistons plus one 27 mm EPB piston, a two-piece forged-aluminum body, and heat-insulated two-piece pistons; the EP4 pairs to the 380 mm rear rotor and clears 18 in and larger wheels.

Choose Your Rotor: Street, Track-Day, or Motorsport

StopFlex Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.

Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

StopFlex Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

StopFlex Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Motorsport Spec

Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

Heat Management Note

Ceramic discs shrug off surface temperatures that would destroy iron, but the rest of the system still heats up: pads, fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels all absorb soak heat during repeated hard stops. For track days, long descents, and sustained hard driving, run brake cooling and high-temperature fluid.

Get Your Fitment Confirmed

Before ordering, tell us the exact vehicle, current rotor sizes, and caliper type. Nothing goes to production until the build is confirmed against your VIN-level configuration.

FAQ

Will these carbon ceramic brakes work in winter and cold weather?

Yes. Any cold carbon-ceramic disc bites a little less than cold iron on the first stop or two — that is basic material physics, not a defect. StopFlex tunes both the low-metallic resin-composite pad (about 0.44 average friction) and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so first-thing-in-the-morning feel comes very close to warm-day feel. On the coldest days, leave a little extra following distance for the first couple of stops and everything comes up to temperature quickly.

Does this kit fit my exact trim — Q8, SQ8, or RS Q8?

Each kit is engineered for your confirmed trim, not assumed from the 4M platform. The RS Q8 uses different front knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel clearance than the standard Q8 and SQ8, so we build trim-specific brackets and rotor-hat offsets rather than making a universal bolt-on claim. Send your VIN and wheel details and we match the front Akebono 8N mounting and rear EP4 EPB setup to your car.

What wheels do I need to clear the 380 mm rotors?

The 380 mm front rotor with the Akebono 8N 6-piston caliper requires a minimum 19-inch wheel; anything smaller will not clear the caliper. Spoke shape matters as much as diameter, so send a photo or wheel spec and we confirm clearance before you buy. Most Q8, SQ8, and RS Q8 wheels are 20 to 23 inches and clear easily.

Do I keep the factory electronic parking brake?

Yes. The 4M chassis uses an electronic parking brake built into the rear calipers, and the TTSPORT EP4 has a dedicated EPB actuator piston that preserves that function. You keep OE auto-hold and hill-hold behavior while gaining a real 380 mm rear big-brake setup with proper thermal capacity.
