Will This Fit My Car?

Full Upgrade CCB Big Brake Kits (With Calipers) for the 2006-2015 Audi Q7 (4L). This page's exact brake setup:

Model Years Front Setup Rear Setup Min. Wheel Size
2006-2015 Akebono OEM Audi RS 10-Piston (10N) Caliper / 420mm TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper integrated with EPB / 380mm 21"

Every StopFlex kit is bespoke-engineered for your exact model and trim — brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting are matched to your specific car, never assumed from the platform. Trims that share a chassis name can differ mechanically: a pure performance variant often carries different knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance than the standard models, so parts that bolt onto one are not the parts that fit the other. Calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and brake lines ship as one matched system built to your confirmed trim. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering.

The 420 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 21" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Short-Fiber or Long-Fiber — Your Call

Every StopFlex disc is true carbon-ceramic. Short-Fiber Street Spec uses a simpler chopped-fiber process for a lower price and street-only duty; the Long-Fiber line uses continuous carbon strands that carry load across the whole rotor for higher strength and thermal durability — the pick for track and race heat.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A like-size carbon-ceramic rotor can be materially lighter than an iron disc; the exact saving depends on rotor dimensions. Lower rotating, unsprung mass can reduce the load the suspension has to control.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction material is selected for high-temperature stability and fade resistance. Overall pedal feel still depends on pad condition, fluid, caliper stiffness, cooling and operating temperature.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, carbon-ceramic friction surfaces are designed for low wear. Actual service life depends on mileage, contamination, pad choice, heat cycles and driving use.

Low Visible Dust

Matched StopFlex pads are selected for low visible dust on the ceramic friction surface. Actual wheel dust still varies with pad choice, traffic, temperature, bedding and driving intensity.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

Cold-weather trade-off: an untuned carbon-ceramic disc can have less initial bite than cold iron. StopFlex specifies a matched pad compound and ceramic coating tuned to reduce that cold-start gap, but the coldest first stops still deserve extra following distance. Severe-winter daily drivers should choose a Street Spec.

Caliper Overview

Front Caliper

The front axle uses the Akebono OEM Audi RS 10-Piston (10N) Caliper with a supplied 420mm rotor. This is a full front upgrade configuration, not a factory-caliper retention package.

Rear Caliper

The rear uses the TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper integrated with EPB and a supplied 380mm rotor. Its dedicated EPB actuator preserves the Q7’s electronic parking-brake function.

Choose Your Rotor: Short-Fiber Street to Long-Fiber Motorsport

Left to right is ascending duty. Short-Fiber Street Spec keeps carbon-ceramic benefits at a lower price for street use only; the Long-Fiber Street, Track-Day, and Motorsport specs add continuous-fiber strength and thermal durability for everything from daily premium builds to race weekends.

StopFlex Short-Fiber Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Short-Fiber Street Spec

Chopped short-fiber carbon-ceramic body, ceramic coating, cross-drilled face.

Choose this for street-only use when purchase price matters most. It keeps the carbon-ceramic friction surface and coated finish, but it is not specified for track sessions.

StopFlex Long-Fiber Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Long-Fiber Street Spec

Continuous long-fiber body, ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, large cooling channels.

Choose this for daily and fast-road use when you want the long-fiber construction without moving to a track-focused face and cooling specification.

StopFlex Long-Fiber Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Long-Fiber Track-Day Spec

Continuous long-fiber body, ceramic coating, blank face, honeycomb cooling channels.

Choose this for repeated fast-road or track-day braking where thermal duty matters more than the drilled street appearance. High-temperature fluid and appropriate cooling still matter.

StopFlex Long-Fiber Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Long-Fiber Motorsport Spec

Continuous long-fiber body, uncoated blank face, honeycomb cooling channels.

Choose this for competition-focused use with the corresponding pad, fluid, cooling and warm-up strategy. It is not the default recommendation for a street-driven car.

Heat Management Note

High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

Get Your Fitment Confirmed

Send the exact year, model, trim, current rotor sizes, caliper type, and wheel details before ordering. StopFlex confirms the supplied configuration before production and requests VIN/build data when needed.

FAQ

Will this kit fit every 2006-2015 Audi Q7 (4L)?

It is built for the 2006-2015 Audi Q7 (4L), but final configuration requires confirmation of your exact model and trim. The kit uses a 420mm front rotor with Akebono OEM Audi RS 10-Piston (10N) Calipers and a 380mm rear rotor with TTSPORT EP4 calipers. Bracket geometry, hat offset, and caliper mounting are confirmed per vehicle.

What wheel clearance does the 420mm front setup require?

The 420mm front configuration has a 21-inch minimum wheel requirement. Diameter alone is not enough: spoke profile and wheel offset must also clear the caliper and rotor package. Submit wheel details or photos for physical clearance confirmation before ordering, especially with aftermarket wheels.

Which carbon-ceramic rotor spec should I choose for my Q7?

Choose Short-Fiber Street Spec for lower-cost street-only use. Long-Fiber Street suits demanding road use, while Long-Fiber Track-Day and Motorsport are for progressively higher heat and duty requirements. Select from how the Q7 is actually used; rotor choice should be confirmed alongside the final vehicle and wheel configuration.

How should I expect the brakes to behave in winter or on the first cold stops?

An untuned cold carbon-ceramic disc can have less initial bite than cold iron. This kit uses a matched pad compound and disc coating tuned to reduce that cold-start gap, but the coldest first stops still deserve extra margin. Allow for that condition rather than expecting identical warm-weather response immediately.
