Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension mounting points must be reviewed before ordering.
The 400 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 20" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex
Continuous Fiber Construction
StopFlex discs are built with long continuous carbon fiber instead of chopped short fiber. Continuous strands carry load across the whole rotor body, raising strength and thermal durability under heat cycles.
Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering
Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.
CCB-Specific Pad Compound
A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.
Lower Unsprung Mass
A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.
High-Temperature Stability
The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Caliper Overview
Front Caliper
The front caliper is the Akebono OEM Audi RS 6-Piston (9N) unit, the same monobloc caliper Audi specified for its RS models. Six pistons spread clamp load evenly across the pad for consistent bite and a firm pedal on the 400mm carbon-ceramic front rotor.
Rear Caliper
The rear is the TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper with a dedicated EPB actuator piston. It uses four 28 mm hydraulic service pistons plus one 27 mm electric parking-brake piston, so your Q3's factory electronic parking brake still works normally while the rear axle gains real thermal capacity on a two-piece forged-aluminum body weighing about 4.50 kg per caliper.

Heat Management Note
Ceramic discs shrug off surface temperatures that would destroy iron, but the rest of the system still heats up: pads, fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels all absorb soak heat during repeated hard stops. For track days, long descents, and sustained hard driving, run brake cooling and high-temperature fluid.

FAQ
Will this kit clear my wheels?
The front rotor is 400mm, so you need a minimum 20-inch wheel to clear it, and spoke design matters as much as diameter. If you run 18s or 19s on your RS Q3, that front rotor will not fit; tell us your exact wheel and we can advise on rear sizing and whether a smaller front setup is workable for your car.
How does carbon ceramic behave in winter on a cold car?
A cold, untuned carbon-ceramic disc bites less than cold iron on the first stops. That's physics, not a defect. We tune both the low-metallic pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so winter cold-car feel comes very close to summer feel. On the coldest first stops of the day, leave a little extra following distance until the system is up to temperature.
Is this kit really made for my exact trim, or is it a platform bolt-on?
It's bespoke per confirmed trim. We match brackets, rotor-hat offsets, and caliper mounting to your specific 8U Q3 or RS Q3. The RS Q3 uses different front hub and upright geometry than the standard Q3, so we don't assume anything from the shared chassis name. Once you confirm your exact car, we engineer the kit to it.
Does the electronic parking brake still work after the rear upgrade?
Yes. Your 8U keeps its factory electronic parking brake because the TTSPORT EP4 rear caliper has a dedicated EPB actuator piston separate from its four hydraulic braking pistons. You retain OE parking-brake convenience while gaining rear-axle thermal capacity on the 380mm rear rotor.
