Will This Fit My Car?

Full Upgrade CCB Big Brake Kits (With Calipers) for the 2004-2010 Audi S8 (D3). This page's exact brake setup:

Model Years Front Setup Rear Setup Min. Wheel Size
2004-2010 Akebono OEM Audi RS 10-Piston (10N) Caliper / 420mm TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper integrated with EPB / 380mm 21"

Fitment here is bespoke: brackets, hat offsets, and caliper mounting are engineered for your exact model and trim rather than copied across the platform. Two trims with the same chassis code can still differ in knuckles, hub geometry, and wheel ET clearance — which is why we confirm your trim first, then build the matched system of calipers, pads, rotor hats, floating hardware, and lines for it. Modified knuckles, uprights, or non-factory suspension points require review before ordering.

The 420 mm rotor sets the minimum wheel size at 21" — smaller wheels will not clear the caliper and rotor. Spoke profile and offset also affect clearance; confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why Carbon Ceramic — and Why StopFlex

Short-Fiber or Long-Fiber — Your Call

Every StopFlex disc is true carbon-ceramic. Short-Fiber Street Spec uses a simpler chopped-fiber process for a lower price and street-only duty; the Long-Fiber line uses continuous carbon strands that carry load across the whole rotor for higher strength and thermal durability — the pick for track and race heat.

Bespoke Per-Vehicle Engineering

Every order is machined to the confirmed vehicle and trim. Brackets, hat offsets, and pad shapes are built for that exact car — never pulled from a one-size-fits-all catalog.

CCB-Specific Pad Compound

A low-metallic resin pad compound reinforced with steel, copper, and aramid fiber, made for ceramic discs: stable to about 750 °C, roughly 0.44 average friction, strong fade resistance, low rotor wear.

Lower Unsprung Mass

A like-size carbon-ceramic rotor can be materially lighter than an iron disc; the exact saving depends on rotor dimensions. Lower rotating, unsprung mass can reduce the load the suspension has to control.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction material is selected for high-temperature stability and fade resistance. Overall pedal feel still depends on pad condition, fluid, caliper stiffness, cooling and operating temperature.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

Long Street-Service Life

In normal road use with matched pads and correct bedding, carbon-ceramic friction surfaces are designed for low wear. Actual service life depends on mileage, contamination, pad choice, heat cycles and driving use.

Low Visible Dust

Matched StopFlex pads are selected for low visible dust on the ceramic friction surface. Actual wheel dust still varies with pad choice, traffic, temperature, bedding and driving intensity.

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Finish

StopFlex's proprietary coating gives the disc a bright ceramic-glaze surface with subtle texture — the factory carbon-ceramic look, clearly visible through open wheel designs.

Winter & Cold-Weather Braking

On a freezing start, carbon-ceramic friction can feel different from warm operation. StopFlex pairs the disc coating with its matched street pad to improve cold response; it is still prudent to leave extra margin for the first stops in severe cold. Use a Street Spec for harsh-winter daily service.

Caliper Overview

Front Caliper

The 420 mm front upgrade uses the Akebono OEM Audi RS 10-Piston (10N) Caliper. This is a supplied-caliper configuration, not a factory-caliper retention package.

Rear Caliper

The rear uses the TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper integrated with EPB on a 380 mm rotor. Its dedicated EPB actuator preserves the factory electronic parking-brake function.

Choose Your Rotor: Short-Fiber Street to Long-Fiber Motorsport

Four specs, one rule of thumb: all are real carbon-ceramic discs. Short-Fiber Street Spec is the lower-cost route for street-only driving. The three Long-Fiber specs use continuous carbon strands for higher strength and heat durability, and are the only choice for track-day or motorsport use.

StopFlex Short-Fiber Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Short-Fiber Street Spec

Chopped short-fiber carbon-ceramic body, ceramic coating, cross-drilled face.

Choose this for street-only use when purchase price matters most. It keeps the carbon-ceramic friction surface and coated finish, but it is not specified for track sessions.

StopFlex Long-Fiber Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Long-Fiber Street Spec

Continuous long-fiber body, ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, large cooling channels.

Choose this for daily and fast-road use when you want the long-fiber construction without moving to a track-focused face and cooling specification.

StopFlex Long-Fiber Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Long-Fiber Track-Day Spec

Continuous long-fiber body, ceramic coating, blank face, honeycomb cooling channels.

Choose this for repeated fast-road or track-day braking where thermal duty matters more than the drilled street appearance. High-temperature fluid and appropriate cooling still matter.

StopFlex Long-Fiber Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Long-Fiber Motorsport Spec

Continuous long-fiber body, uncoated blank face, honeycomb cooling channels.

Choose this for competition-focused use with the corresponding pad, fluid, cooling and warm-up strategy. It is not the default recommendation for a street-driven car.

Heat Management Note

High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

FAQ

Does this kit fit every 2004-2010 Audi S8 (D3) without changes?

No. This listing is for the 2004-2010 Audi S8 (D3), but the kit is bespoke to the confirmed exact model and trim. The 420 mm front rotor, 380 mm rear rotor, brackets, hat offsets, and caliper mounting are specified only after confirmation; shared D3 platform hardware is not assumed to transfer.

Which StopFlex carbon-ceramic rotor spec should I choose for my S8?

Choose Short-Fiber Street Spec for lower-cost street-only use. Long-Fiber Street is the step up for broader road use, while Long-Fiber Track-Day and Motorsport are for progressively higher heat and duty requirements. Select from how the car is actually used, then confirm the final rotor specification with the build details.

How does this kit behave on cold winter starts?

An untuned cold carbon-ceramic disc can have less initial bite than cold iron. StopFlex specifies a matched pad compound and disc coating to reduce that cold-start gap, but the first stops in the cold still deserve extra margin. Do not expect identical warm-weather and cold-start response.

Will my wheels clear, and is the electronic parking brake retained?

The fitment chart sets a 21-inch minimum wheel for this 420 mm front configuration, but diameter alone is not enough: spoke profile and offset require physical clearance confirmation. The rear TTSPORT EP4 4-Piston Forged Caliper integrated with EPB retains the S8’s electronic parking-brake function.
