A carbon-ceramic rotor weighs roughly half of the equivalent iron disc. Less rotating, unsprung mass lets the suspension follow broken pavement more cleanly and makes steering response noticeably sharper.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide friction matrix keeps working at temperatures that push iron rotors into heavy fade, so the tenth hard stop feels like the first — same pedal travel, same bite point.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Ceramic discs cannot flash-rust. After rain, a wash, or weeks of parking, the rotor face behind your open-spoke wheels stays clean — no orange ring on a freshly detailed car.

StopFlex tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so winter cold-car braking now feels very close to summer. Leave extra margin on the very coldest first stops; severe-climate daily drivers should build Street Spec.

Heat Management Note

High rotor temperature tolerance does not mean heat management disappears. Under repeated hard braking, heat migrates into the pads, brake fluid, seals, calipers, and wheels even when the ceramic disc itself is comfortable. Plan brake cooling and high-temperature fluid for extended track sessions, long mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving.

Does this fit both the DB11 coupe and the Volante?

Yes. This page covers the DB11 and DB11 Volante running the factory 400mm front and 360mm rear rotor sizes. The kit reuses your existing factory calipers, so the front must be a 4-piston-or-more caliper, which the DB11 front setup satisfies. Do I need to replace my calipers or brake lines?

No. This is a direct replacement that retains your factory front and rear calipers. You get carbon-ceramic rotors, pads matched to those rotors, hats, and floating hardware. The 400mm front and 360mm rear discs bolt to the same hats-and-hub interface your iron discs used, so lines and calipers stay in place.

How do these behave in winter on a cold car?

A cold carbon-ceramic disc naturally bites a little softer than cold iron on the first stop or two, which is normal physics for the material, not a fault. We tuned both the pad compound and the disc's ceramic coating for cold starts, so cold-car feel now comes very close to warm summer feel. On the coldest first stops, leave a little extra following distance until the discs come up to temperature.

Will these clear my wheels and work with the parking brake?

The 400mm front and 360mm rear rotors match the factory footprint, so if your current wheels clear the iron discs they will clear these. The rear hat design retains the factory parking-brake mechanism, so electronic park brake function is preserved. Send us your wheel and trim details and we'll confirm before you buy.
