G63 Carbon Ceramic Upgrade With Factory Calipers
This Mercedes-AMG G63 keeps its factory calipers and changes to STOPFLEX long-fiber carbon ceramic rotors at both axles. The installation sequence shows the rotors being fitted, followed by the red AMG calipers behind the black wheels.

For an owner who wants to keep the factory caliper configuration, this route focuses the change on rotor material and its friction pairing. STOPFLEX's direct-replacement package combines the discs with ceramic-compatible pads, vehicle-specific hats and floating hardware. Keeping the calipers still calls for a pad compound selected for the new friction surface.
STOPFLEX selects its matched pads for low visible dust on ceramic rotors. For a G63 with open black wheels, that pairing deserves as much attention as disc size: dust still varies with temperature, traffic, bedding and use. Choose the pads as part of the conversion, rather than assuming an existing iron-rotor compound is suitable.
Cold starts are the tradeoff to discuss for a daily-driven G63. STOPFLEX says its matched pad and coating are tuned for cold response, while still advising extra margin on the coldest first stops. For harsh-winter daily service, it recommends a Street specification rather than choosing the most demanding track version by default.
