Zeekr 001 Carbon Ceramic Brakes Upgrade

Zeekr 001 EV fitted with STOPFLEX carbon ceramic rotor upgrade behind the factory fixed 4-piston front caliper

The build: what's fitted to this Zeekr 001

Vehicle Zeekr 001 (high-performance EV)
Upgrade type Direct-fit carbon ceramic rotor upgrade
Front calipers Factory fixed 4-piston calipers, retained
Rotors STOPFLEX carbon ceramic, long-fiber construction, crackle-texture ceramic coating
Pads Matched STOPFLEX pad package for low dust
System approach Keeps factory calipers, hydraulics, and electronics; swaps the iron rotor only

Confirm this before you order

This upgrade is tied to Zeekr 001 cars running the factory fixed 4-piston front calipers. It isn't universal across the whole 001 range. If your car has the smaller base-model front hardware, check the setup with us first.

Why carbon ceramic earns its keep on the 001

STOPFLEX feature Why it matters on the Zeekr 001 What you notice
Carbon ceramic rotor, about half the weight of a same-size steel rotor The 001 is heavy and quick, and rotor mass sits right at the wheel where it loads the suspension and adds rotating inertia Crisper response to steering and bumps, less of that heavy-rotor feel over rough pavement
No rust after rain exposure EVs do most braking with regen, so iron rotors sit damp and lightly used and build surface corrosion No gritty first stop after a wet night, cleaner-looking discs behind the wheels
Friction holds near 0.3μ even around 900°C rotor surface temp When you do lean on the friction brakes hard, a big EV dumps a lot of heat into the rotor fast Brake feel stays consistent instead of going soft when things get hot
Low dust with matched STOPFLEX pads Open EV wheel designs show every bit of brake dust Wheels stay clean longer between washes
Street life around 250,000-300,000 km, no track use Owners keeping a premium EV long-term don't want repeat rotor replacement One quality rotor set that lasts instead of a wear-item cycle

What gets better

  • Lower unsprung and rotating mass at each front corner
  • Rust-free rotor faces, even after rain or a wash
  • Very low brake dust with matched STOPFLEX pads
  • More stable braking when heat climbs under repeated hard stops
  • Distinctive crackle-texture ceramic finish behind the wheels

What to confirm first

  • That your 001 runs the factory fixed 4-piston front calipers
  • Model year and trim
  • Wheel size currently fitted
  • Your top priority: weight, rust, clean wheels, or heat control

If you're not sure your car matches the spec shown here, send us your model year, trim, and wheel details and we'll confirm Zeekr 001 fitment before you order through our Zeekr CCB collection.

Zeekr 001 CCB questions

Why upgrade the rotors if the Zeekr 001's factory front calipers are already good?

On the right trim, the factory fixed 4-piston front calipers are a solid base. The weak link is the iron rotor: heavy, rust-prone, and easy to heat-soak in a fast, heavy EV. STOPFLEX carbon ceramic rotors cut rotating mass, resist rust, and hold friction better under heat while keeping the factory calipers and electronics in place.

Does a carbon ceramic upgrade actually help in daily Zeekr 001 driving?

Yes. Because EVs lean on regen for most stops, iron rotors sit damp and lightly used and build surface rust, which causes that gritty first-stop feel and noise. STOPFLEX carbon ceramic rotors don't rust after rain or a wash, and paired with STOPFLEX pads they throw very little dust, so the wheels stay cleaner.

Is this a full big brake kit or a rotor upgrade for the factory setup?

It's a direct-fit rotor upgrade for Zeekr 001 models with the factory fixed 4-piston front calipers. You keep the OEM calipers and full vehicle integration and swap the original iron rotor for a STOPFLEX carbon ceramic rotor with a matched pad package.

Will it fit every Zeekr 001?

No. This fitment is tied to Zeekr 001 cars that already run the factory fixed 4-piston front brakes. If your car has the smaller base front hardware, confirm the setup with us before ordering.

How long do STOPFLEX carbon ceramic rotors last on the street?

For street use with no track work, STOPFLEX rotor life can reach roughly 250,000 to 300,000 km. Real-world mileage depends on driving style, pad choice, and conditions.
