While the SU7 Ultra comes track-ready, frequent circuit use exposes the inherent characteristics of the standard chopped-fiber discs:

  • Structural Oxidation: Under the extreme temperatures (>800°C) of sustained tracking, standard short-fiber rotors can experience accelerated oxidation, leading to surface roughness and mass loss.
  • Disposability: Once a chopped-fiber rotor wears beyond its limit or suffers surface delamination, it typically cannot be refurbished, requiring a costly replacement.
  • Thermal Capacity: While iron conducts heat faster, carbon-ceramic relies on immense heat capacity. The factory discs are excellent, but continuous long-fiber structures offer a denser matrix for even greater thermal stability.
