Confirm before you order

This is a rotor-only upgrade for the Mercedes-Benz GLE63 AMG (W167) that keeps the factory AMG calipers. It is not a fit for visually similar non-AMG GLE trims. Verify your exact brake setup and check spoke and caliper-face clearance on your wheels, since 22-inch barrel diameter alone doesn't guarantee fit.

What the Upgrade Actually Changes

STOPFLEX feature Why it matters on the GLE63 What you notice
440 mm carbon ceramic rotor, ~50% lighter than steel The W167 is heavy and fast, so unsprung mass at each corner works the suspension hard over broken pavement. The truck feels a touch more settled and quicker to change direction.
High heat tolerance (about 0.3μ surface friction tested at 900°C) Repeated high-speed stops, towing, and long downhill runs dump heat into the rotors fast. Pedal feel stays consistent instead of going long when the brakes get hot.
Low-dust pad pairing Factory-style high-friction street pads coat big AMG wheels in dark dust almost daily. Wheels stay visibly cleaner between washes.
No rust after rain An SUV that sits outside and sees weather stains iron rotors quickly. The rotor face stays clean-looking after rain and after the car sits.
Normal cold bite (over 0.4μ at normal temps, normal first stop near -20°C) Carbon ceramic gets a track-only reputation, but this is a daily-driven AMG. It still stops like an AMG on a cold morning, first pedal press.
Long-fiber CCB construction A heavy SUV cycles the rotor through big heat swings over its life. Better fatigue resistance through repeated thermal cycling.

What gets better

  • Far less brake dust on big AMG wheels
  • Lower unsprung mass at each corner
  • More consistent pedal on long grades and repeated stops
  • Rotor face that doesn't rust-stain after rain
  • Crackle-texture ceramic finish that suits the AMG look
  • Street life that can reach 250,000–300,000 km off-track

What to confirm first

  • Your car is the genuine AMG brake layout this kit is built around
  • Spoke shape and caliper-face clearance on your wheels
  • Front and rear axle scope match what you want to run
  • Pad compound matched to street use, not race-only aggression

If you're not sure your truck matches the AMG setup shown here, send us your VIN and wheel details and we'll confirm GLE63 AMG (W167) fitment before you order through our Mercedes-Benz CCB collection.

FAQ

My GLE63 already has big AMG brakes. Why go carbon ceramic?

The factory AMG calipers are strong, but the stock iron rotors still carry the heat and weight of a heavy, high-output SUV. Carbon ceramic rotors raise heat tolerance, drop unsprung mass, and cut brake dust hard, which improves consistency, wheel cleanliness, and refinement.

Do I have to replace the factory AMG calipers?

No. This is a rotor-only upgrade built to keep the factory AMG hardware on the correct GLE63 setup. You retain the OEM calipers and upgrade the rotor and pad package.

How does it behave in normal daily driving?

It stays easy to live with. With the matching STOPFLEX pad compound, cold response stays normal, brake dust is very low, and the brakes look cleaner than comparable iron systems.

Will it fit under 22-inch wheels?

The 440 mm front rotor is intended to clear standard 22-inch AMG wheel barrels. Barrel diameter alone isn't enough, so spoke shape and caliper-to-wheel face clearance still need to be checked before you order.

How long do the rotors last on the street?

For street-only, non-track use, STOPFLEX states rotor life can reach about 250,000 to 300,000 km. Actual life depends on driving style, pad condition, and whether the vehicle sees repeated high-heat track work.
