About the Disc

StopFlex Carbon Ceramic Brake Disc Kit (C/SiC) + Porsche GT3 OE Brembo 6-Piston Calipers

Built for fast street cars and street + occasional track use that want cleaner wheels, fewer replacements, and stable braking when heat builds. This is a made-to-order front-axle package sized around your wheels so it installs cleanly—not “close enough.”

What changes for you (real-world):

  • Less rotating mass: carbon-ceramic systems are commonly much lighter than comparable iron discs, helping response and reducing load on hubs and suspension.
  • Cleaner look: low visible dust and no orange “flash rust” rotor faces after rain or storage.
  • Longer replacement cycle: StopFlex targets 250,000–300,000 km typical road use when used as intended.
  • Heat consistency: designed to stay stable across repeated high-energy stops (pads + fluid + airflow still matter).

Fitment confirmation (we keep it simple):

  • Year / Make / Model / Wheel Size (VIN helps)

We finalize disc size (330–440 mm), hat geometry, and pad spec around your wheel barrel/spokes and your current brake setup so the kit clears properly and runs the correct pad sweep. If anything is unclear, we’ll ask for photos/measurements before production.

Bolt-On Package List

Item What it is Why it matters
StopFlex Street Carbon Ceramic Discs (C/SiC) Street-focused carbon-ceramic friction rings engineered for road temperatures and repeated high-energy stops. Stable braking surface, reduced corrosion issues, and a longer replacement cycle vs typical iron rotors.
StopFlex CNC-machined Aluminum Hats Application-specific hats with the correct offset and mounting geometry. Correct alignment + wheel clearance, consistent pad sweep, and clean installation.
Porsche GT3 Brembo 6-Piston Calipers Rigid fixed calipers paired to the chosen disc size and pad shape for your application. Consistent clamp behavior for repeatable response under load (especially when heat builds).
StopFlex CCB-optimized Pad Set (Match Your Calipers) Pad compound selected for carbon-ceramic discs and matched to your caliper shape. Helps maintain a stable friction layer and avoids “wrong pad on CCB” issues (noise, inconsistent bite, accelerated surface wear).

Note: Final disc size, hat offset, and pad spec are confirmed after the fitment step. We prefer “correct fit + correct pad match” over generic claims.

Carbon-Ceramic vs. Cast-Iron / Steel Discs

Item StopFlex Carbon-Ceramic (C/SiC) Cast-Iron / Steel Disc
Typical disc weight (same size class) Often ~50% lighter than comparable iron discs of similar size class. Heavier rotating mass at the wheel.
Service life 250,000–300,000 km target for typical road use (conditions matter: vehicle weight, driving style, pad choice). Common guidance is ~30,000–70,000 miles (≈48,000–113,000 km), strongly usage-dependent.
Corrosion & appearance No flash rust; stays visually clean behind the wheel. Surface rust after rain/storage is normal; cosmetic “orange” is common.
High-energy repeatability Designed to remain stable in repeated high-energy stops. Common wrong-use risks are impact damage (chips) and pad mismatch (unstable friction layer / accelerated wear). In repeated high-energy use, iron systems can see hot spotting, thermal cracking, and increased heat soak into pads/fluid if cooling is insufficient.
Track reality check Short sessions: great. Long lapping: plan ducts/airflow and manage pad + fluid temps. Often more forgiving with the “right” track pad + airflow, but heavier and typically needs more frequent rotor service.

Bottom line: If you’re mainly fast-road with occasional track sessions and you care about clean wheels + long-term durability, carbon-ceramic is a clear step up. If you do long, heavy track days without cooling upgrades, plan airflow before you switch.

Choose Your Disc Style

Three variants built around the same long-fiber carbon-ceramic core. Pick the one that matches how you actually drive.

StopFlex street-use carbon-ceramic disc

Street

  • Face design: Drilled + Big Cooling Holes
  • Cooling core: Directional internal venting
  • Coating: Ceramic coating (street durability + clean look)
  • Use: Daily, canyon runs, highway pulls, short light track sessions
StopFlex track-day carbon-ceramic disc

Track-Day

  • Face design: Blank + Hive Cooling Holes
  • Cooling core: Hive-style internal cooling
  • Coating: Ceramic coating (balanced street + heat tolerance)
  • Use: Street + occasional track days (best with proper brake ducts)
StopFlex race-only carbon-ceramic disc

Race-Only

  • Face design: Blank + Hive Cooling Holes
  • Cooling core: Hive-style internal cooling
  • Coating: No coating (race-focused surface)
  • Use: Dedicated track/race cars with strong cooling and regular inspections

Note: Not intended for street use.

FAQ

Is this a universal kit?

No. The kit is made-to-order. We confirm your Year / Make / Model / Wheel Size (VIN helps) and finalize disc size + hat geometry to clear your wheels and run the correct pad sweep.

Will it work from cold on the street?

Yes—when paired with the specified StopFlex CCB-optimized Pad Set. The goal is normal street bite from cold, not “needs heat to work.”

How long do the discs last?

For typical road use, StopFlex targets 250,000–300,000 km. Real life depends on vehicle weight, driving style, pad choice, road grit, and how often you do track sessions.

Do I need cooling upgrades for track use?

For street and short stints, you’re fine. For long lapping sessions, plan proper ducts/venting. On track, pads and fluid often become the limiting factor without airflow.

Can I use any pad that fits the GT3 calipers?

Not recommended. Pad chemistry matters more on carbon-ceramic. A wrong pad can create unstable friction, noise, and unnecessary surface wear. Use the StopFlex CCB-optimized Pad Set (Match Your Calipers) specified for your setup.

Is there a bed-in process?

Yes. A controlled bed-in builds a consistent friction layer. We provide a simple procedure with the kit (moderate stops, then cool-down—avoid long pedal holds while hot).
