Alcon RC4 4-Piston Caliper with StopFlex Carbon Ceramic Brake Disc Big Brake Kit
Official Warranty: 1‑year free replacement for quality defects or coating issues under normal (non-track) use.
StopFlex Carbon Ceramic Brake Disc Kit (C/SiC) + Alcon RC4 4-Piston Calipers
Built for fast street cars that want a lighter front end, cleaner wheels, and stable braking when heat builds. Made-to-order discs in your exact sizes, paired with StopFlex CNC-machined Aluminum Hats, Alcon RC4 4-piston calipers, and a StopFlex CCB-optimized Pad Set (Match Your Calipers).
What changes for you (real-world):
- Less rotating mass: carbon-ceramic discs are commonly about ~50% lighter than comparable cast-iron discs in the same size class (platform dependent).
- Cleaner daily driving: lower visible dust, no orange “flash rust” rotor faces after rain or storage.
- Longer replacement cycle: StopFlex targets 250,000–300,000 km typical road use when used as intended (conditions and usage matter).
- More consistent pedal: RC4 stiffness + correct pad match helps keep bite and modulation predictable when stops stack up.
Fitment confirmation (we keep it simple):
- Year / Make / Model / Wheel Size (VIN helps)
We build the disc size (330–440 mm), hat geometry, and bracket layout around your wheels and current hub/knuckle geometry so the kit clears the barrel/spokes and installs cleanly.
Bolt-On Package List
| Item | What it is | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| StopFlex Street Carbon Ceramic Discs (C/SiC) | Street-focused carbon-ceramic friction rings engineered for road temperatures and repeated high-energy stops. | Reduced rotating mass, corrosion-free faces, and a stable surface when pad chemistry is correct. |
| StopFlex CNC-machined Aluminum Hats | Precision hats matched to your application. | Correct alignment and clearance with your hub/wheel package, with consistent pad sweep. |
| Alcon RC4 Calipers | Genuine Alcon 4-piston calipers selected and positioned for your knuckle + rotor envelope. | Stiff clamp behavior for clean pedal definition, consistent pad wear, and repeatable modulation. |
| StopFlex CCB-optimized Pad Set (Match Your Calipers) | Pad compound selected for carbon-ceramic discs and matched to your RC4 pad shape. | Builds a stable transfer layer and avoids common “wrong pad on CCB” problems (noise, inconsistent bite, accelerated surface wear). |
| Vehicle-specific brackets & mounting set | Application-specific bracket solution to place the caliper correctly on your knuckle. | Controls rotor/caliper position and helps ensure real bolt-on fitment after confirmation. |
Note: If you already run a fixed multi-piston setup and only want carbon-ceramic discs + hats + pads, we can quote a disc-only package.
Carbon-Ceramic + RC4 vs. Cast-Iron / Steel (Street Reality)
| Item | StopFlex Carbon-Ceramic (C/SiC) + RC4 | Cast-Iron / Steel Front Setup |
|---|---|---|
| Typical disc weight (same size class) | Often ~50% lighter than comparable cast-iron discs (size and design dependent). | Heavier rotating mass at the wheel. |
| Service life (typical road use) | 250,000–300,000 km StopFlex target for typical road use (vehicle weight, pad choice, heat load, and driving style decide reality). | Common guidance is ~30,000–70,000 miles (≈48,000–113,000 km), strongly usage-dependent. |
| Corrosion & appearance | No flash rust; stays visually clean behind the wheel. | Surface rust after rain/storage is normal; cosmetic “orange” is common. |
| Heat consistency (what you feel) | Designed for stable behavior across repeated stops when pad selection + bed-in are correct; RC4 stiffness helps keep pedal definition. | Can be strong on the street, but repeated heat cycles can bring fade/long pedal if pads and fluid are overwhelmed. |
| What can go wrong | Most issues come from pad mismatch, poor bed-in, or insufficient cooling in long sessions. | Most issues come from overheating, uneven deposits, or driving past thickness limits. |
Bottom line: If you’re mainly a fast-road driver who cares about clean wheels + long-term stability, carbon-ceramic is a clear step up. If you run long, heavy track sessions without cooling upgrades, plan your ducting and airflow first.
Choose Your Disc Style
Three variants built around the same long-fiber carbon-ceramic core. Pick the one that matches how you actually drive.
Street
- Face design: Drilled + Big Cooling Holes
- Cooling core: Directional internal venting
- Coating: Ceramic coating (street durability + clean look)
- Use: Daily, canyon runs, highway pulls, short light track sessions
Track-Day
- Face design: Blank + Hive Cooling Holes
- Cooling core: Hive-style internal cooling
- Coating: Ceramic coating (balanced street + heat tolerance)
- Use: Street + occasional track days (best with proper brake ducts)
Race-Only
- Face design: Blank + Hive Cooling Holes
- Cooling core: Hive-style internal cooling
- Coating: No coating (race-focused surface)
- Use: Dedicated track/race cars with strong cooling and regular inspections
Note: Not intended for street use.

FAQ
Is this a universal kit?
No. It’s made-to-order. We confirm your Year / Make / Model / Wheel Size (VIN helps) and build disc size + hat geometry + bracket layout to clear your wheels and match your setup.
Will it work from cold on the street?
Yes—when paired with the specified StopFlex CCB-optimized Pad Set. The goal is normal street bite from cold, not “needs heat to work.”
How long do the discs last?
For typical road use, StopFlex targets 250,000–300,000 km. Real life depends on vehicle weight, driving style, pad choice, and how often you add track heat.
Do I need cooling upgrades for track use?
For street and short stints, you’re fine. For long lapping sessions, plan proper ducts/venting and high-temp fluid. On any system, pads and fluid become the limit when airflow isn’t there.
Can I use any pad that fits RC4?
Not recommended. Pad chemistry matters more on carbon-ceramic. A wrong pad can create unstable friction, noise, and unnecessary surface wear. Use the supplied StopFlex CCB-optimized Pad Set specified for your calipers.
Is there a bed-in process?
Yes. Correct bed-in builds a uniform transfer layer and helps prevent vibration and uneven wear. We include a simple procedure with the kit.
What’s the most common fitment failure?
Wheel spoke clearance. That’s why fitment confirmation is required. If clearance is tight, we’ll flag it before production.
