About the Disc

2015-2023 Audi TT RS / TTS (8S) Carbon Ceramic Brake Kit — OEM-Size Replacement

The 8S Audi TT RS and TTS put high brake energy into a compact MQB-based chassis, and owners usually shop carbon ceramic when iron rotors are dusting heavily, heat-checking after track use, or when OEM ceramic replacement cost is too high. This StopFlex OEM-size kit matches the listed factory brake packages: TT RS 370 mm front or 380 mm carbon-ceramic front with 310 mm rear, and TTS 338 mm front with 310 mm rear. Carbon-ceramic rotors reduce rotating and unsprung mass versus iron while improving high-temperature stability, with pads, hats, and floating hardware specified as a complete replacement system.

  • Built only for 8S TT RS and TTS configurations using the listed OEM rotor sizes: TT RS 370 mm or 380 mm front with 310 mm rear, and TTS 338 mm front with 310 mm rear.
  • Floating hats and hardware are included so the carbon-ceramic rings can expand separately from the aluminum hats during repeated high-speed stops.
  • Carbon-ceramic friction material cuts the dark iron dust that shows quickly on the TT RS/TTS open-spoke wheels and resists the heat cycling that marks factory iron rotors after lapping days.

Field Specification
Vehicle Audi TT RS / TTS (8S)
Model years 2015-2023
Front rotor reference TT RS: 370mm, 380mm (CCB); TTS: 338mm
Rear rotor reference TT RS: 310mm; TTS: 310mm
Page type OEM-size carbon ceramic replacement
Minimum wheel size 19" (for the 370 mm rotor)

For OEM replacement orders, StopFlex builds around the factory rotor specification shown for this vehicle. Front floating-caliper setups require manual review before production. If the car uses aftermarket calipers such as Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, or Wilwood, the order can still be built, but the exact caliper model, pad shape, and rotor dimensions must be confirmed before production.

This setup uses a 370 mm rotor, so the minimum wheel size is 19". Wheels under 19" will not clear the caliper and rotor, and spoke profile and offset affect clearance too — confirm your exact wheels before ordering.

Why StopFlex CCB

Lower Unsprung Mass

StopFlex carbon-ceramic rotors are engineered to reduce rotor mass versus comparable iron discs, helping the suspension react cleaner and the steering feel more precise.

High-Temperature Stability

The carbon-silicon-carbide matrix is built for stable braking behavior at temperatures that can push iron rotors into heavy fade.

Rust-Free Rotor Surface

Carbon ceramic does not form orange flash rust after rain, washing, or storage, keeping the visible rotor face cleaner behind open wheels.

Long Street-Service Potential

In normal road use with matched pads and proper bedding, StopFlex CCB rotors are designed for far longer service life than typical iron replacement rotors.

Low Visible Dust

When paired with matched StopFlex pads, the system produces very low visible brake dust compared with conventional iron rotor and pad combinations.

Premium Ceramic-Glaze Appearance

StopFlex's proprietary coating creates a bright, high-end ceramic-glaze finish with subtle glaze texture and a more premium visual character behind open wheels.

Street-Usable Cold Bite

Street Spec and Track-Day Spec rotors are designed for normal first-stop road use, including cold-weather operation. Motorsport Spec is the competition-focused exception.

Continuous Fiber Reinforcement

Long-fiber carbon ceramic construction improves structural strength and thermal durability versus chopped-fiber approaches.

Custom Rotor Hat Color

Every StopFlex OEM replacement order can be built with a custom rotor hat color, giving the carbon ceramic rotor package a cleaner match with the wheel, body color, and overall build style.

Heat Management Note

Carbon ceramic rotors tolerate extreme surface temperature, but they do not remove every heat-management requirement. During repeated hard stops, heat can still soak into pads, fluid, seals, calipers, wheels, and nearby components. For long track sessions, mountain descents, or sustained aggressive driving, brake cooling and high-temperature fluid are still recommended.

Street / Track-Day / Motorsport Rotor Options

StopFlex Street Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Street Spec

Ceramic coating, cross-drilled face, and large cooling channels.

Best for daily driving and premium street builds that need clean cold bite, low dust, corrosion-free appearance, and long service life.

StopFlex Track-Day Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Track-Day Spec

Ceramic coating, blank face, and honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for fast-road and track-day use where repeated braking stability matters more than maximum visual drilling style.

StopFlex Motorsport Spec carbon ceramic brake rotor

Motorsport Spec

Uncoated blank face with honeycomb cooling channels.

Best for race-focused builds that run competition pads, high-temperature fluid, cooling strategy, and a proper warm-up window. Not the default street choice.

FAQ

Will this kit fit every 2015-2023 Audi TT RS or TTS 8S?

No. Fitment is limited to the exact trim and rotor-size combinations on this page: TT RS with 370 mm front or 380 mm OEM carbon-ceramic front rotors and 310 mm rear rotors, or TTS with 338 mm front and 310 mm rear rotors. Confirm the rotor diameter on your car before ordering.

Does it keep the factory electronic parking brake and auto-hold functions?

Yes, when installed on the listed OEM-size 8S TT RS/TTS rear brake setup, the kit replaces rotors, pads, hats, and floating hardware while retaining the factory rear caliper system. The electronic parking brake and related vehicle functions remain with the original calipers and controls.

Why replace the TT RS or TTS iron rotors with carbon ceramic?

Carbon-ceramic rotors are much lighter than same-size iron discs and tolerate repeated high-temperature use with less thermal distortion. On the 8S TT RS/TTS, that means less brake dust, lower rotating mass at each corner, and more stable pedal behavior during aggressive street driving or track sessions.

What should I verify before buying?

Verify your trim, front rotor diameter, rear rotor diameter, and wheel barrel clearance. A TT RS ordered with 370 mm iron brakes is not the same front package as a TT RS with 380 mm factory carbon ceramics, and the TTS uses a smaller 338 mm front rotor.
